Las Vegas

I’ve been to Las Vegas a few times and stayed in The Stratosphere, Caesars Palace and MGM Grand. This time however we stayed in the Rio. It’s just off the strip but there are free shuttles to the strip every 20 minutes. The rooms are clean, tidy and large with either a view over the pool or the strip. We had a view of the strip and it was superb.

There are a lot of good restaurants including the famous World Buffet. It’s got everything and it gets pretty busy. They also have the Voodoo restaurant and club. It’s right on the top of the building so, as you can imagine, the views are brilliant. The food is high end but worth it for a special occasion. Then you can go up a floor to the outside night club. It’s definitely a place worth visiting.

The pool areas of the Rio are good and very lively. They have a separate pool for the ladies if they want a better tan (!) but be aware that men can get access if they pay $20. It’s a lively pool area with lots of music. The whole hotel caters more for adults with their shows and overall theme, so if you have kids choose somewhere like Circus Circus or New York New York.

If you like thrill rides, get along to the Stratosphere and do their three rides on top of their tower. You will not be disappointed. There is so much to do here including a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon.

I have loads more information on Las Vegas so please get in touch if you fancy visiting.
