No need to leave your dog in a kennel

Last weekend, it was a really special occasion as it was my Mother In Law's 70th birthday. All of her kids and close friends went up to see them in Brandersburton. We had a great get together at Dacre Lakeside Park which is a Hoseasons property in an ideal location.

We had lunch in the restaurant called "Berts"; where the food and service was great. It is kind of Italian with other common dishes that you know everyone will eat. Mark and his team did a phenomenal job in making everyone feel welcome and ensured that adults could enjoy their meal whilst keeping the kids busy.

The park has got static caravan sites and well as tiny wooden chalets where if you don't want to erect a tent, is perfect for the family and the dog to sleep in. Shower rooms and ablution blocks are close by, so no need to have to wonder very far.

As well as being located right on the lake, there is a golf course close by, for those golf enthusiasts. There are a few pubs close by and a leisurely walk into town will take you no more than 10 minutes.

As the place was busy, we stayed in a well maintained Bed and Breakfast called "Burton Lodge". This is a family run business however is run to international standards. We had a family room which slept 4 of us. The bathroom had crisp white towels and was well maintained.

Breakfast was cooked to order and there were some other guests asking for items that were not on the menu, however the team excelled themselves and managed to get these items.

The hotel also works on a honesty bar system so there is no reason to just sit in your room; you can right down what you had and it will be added to your bill.

Overall a great experience with great company, tasty food and a good night's sleep.
