Mission Possible in Dubai

I visted Dubai over 6 years ago when it looked very different! To get the change to visit again and see the tallest building in the world was incredible! We stayed at the One and Only Royal Mirage for two nights and also had chance to visit “101 Lounge” and “One and Only The Palm” where we sampled the most amazing chocolate fondant I’ve ever tasted.

While in Dubai, we enjoyed a trip to the ‘Snowdome’ in the Emirates Mall. It was a surreal experience, taking us from temperatures of over 40 degrees into minus three! It was a fantastic experience for all the family and great for non-skiers as well as the most experienced.

One of the many highlights of the trip was seeing the ‘Dancing Fountains’ from the balcony of the fabulous Indian Amal restaurant at the Armani Hotel. This is a minimalistic, modern hotel where you get the services of a lifestyle manager to help you get the most out of your trip. He even helps to choose your pillows!

We took part in a Mission Possible Treasure Hunt which started (in true film star style) on the 126th floor of the Burj Khalifa. The hunt took us on rides in Segaworld at the Dubai Mall, and had us running through gold souks, crossing the Creek on an Abra (local boat) in 42 degree heat to win the challenge. Our prize was to get the chance to see Dubai from the sky with a helicopter ride ending at the Atlantis the Palm where we checked in in style!

The Atlantis the Palm is a unique resort offering amazing experiences such as the Lost Chamber, “Aquaventure” and swimming with Dolphins. All this was made complete with a stomach churning 4x4 desert safari ending with a traditional meal and belly dancing show.

For me, Dubai is an amazing place offering something for everyone. I for one will definitely be returning!
