Dubai Business Trip

I was lucky enough to go on a Travel Counsellors FAM trip to Dubai.

This was my fourth time visiting Dubai and yet again Dubai never failed to be anything other than amazing. I also spent several nights in Ras Al Khaimah which I was really excited about because this is an up and coming place which is only an hour from Dubai airport and the prices are much more affordable. Again I was not let down by this resort.

I flew on the night flight with Emirates from Heathrow, I do like this flight because although it arrives early you do then have a while day before your first night starts. You can pre book the hotel room to be ready for your arrival and it was in my case but normally you wouldn’t be able to check in until 2pm, so always have a pre packed beach bag with day essentials ready to take out of your case so you are set for the day while the hotel look after your bag until you can check in.

We had two nights at the Ritz Carlton Jumeirah. This was a lovely hotel with one adults only pool, a pool for everyone and a children’s pool with slide. It had a good choice of restaurants and was walking distance of local restaurants and shops along the beach. A good area to get about to see all the sights too.

We went on a Dubai city tour and checked out the old city and Gold Souks. This was really beneficial because although I had been to Dubai before I learnt more on this trip than I ever knew about Dubai so it was a great thing to do.

We then stayed one night at The Atlantis the Palm and were each given an Imperial Club room which was lovely. These are room types I sell often so it was good to see the benefits. We spent some time in the waterpark - I even did the ‘Leap of Faith’ water slide!

In the evening we had a lovely Italian meal at Ronda Locatelli followed by wonderful cocktails in Nobu. I loved the feel of Atlantis. We also got to check out the underwater suites too. If you want something exceptional and special then these suites would be amazing!

We then went to Ras Al Khaimah to stay at the Waldorf Astoria for two nights, we all had lovely rooms here and even the lead in rooms for this hotel are stunning. The hotel has a main pool and an adult’s pool and is right on the beach. This really is a very luxurious hotel with plenty of dining options.

We did the desert BBQ dinners on our last night, where we rode camels and watched dancers. This was a lovely experience.

While away we also visited the JA Ocean View Hotel in Jumeriah and had lunch here as well as seeing the various room types, this was in a great position and a lovely place to be able to walk along the promenade. We had a dinner at the Jumeriah Zabeel Saray which was a stunning hotel.

While in Ras Al Khaimah we visited The Hilton Al Hamra and had a really lovely lunch here and were totally spoilt with cocktail making after the amazing lunch. We also visited Doubletree by Hilton which is nothing like your typical Doubletree hotel, I really liked the feel of this hotel and the facilities. It’s a great family hotel with slides for the kids.

I have made some amazing contacts while away. Please feel free to contact me for advice on hotels and areas and for a quote. It will be a pleasure to help you.
