Fabulous Florida

I am writing about my holiday to Florida with excitement as it’s the only place that I can let out my inner child. We had lots fun and there is something for everyone to do.

We stayed in a villa; it was really homely and had everything we needed including our own pool and a games room. We were just off the I4 and highway 27 at Southern Dunes. It is a little further out than the villas I normally stay in but it was ideally located next to Walmart for all our shopping needs and close to some bars and restaurants.

We travelled as a family and had a minivan, it was great to get around as it was comfortable and spacious with air conditioning and enough room for suitcases and all your shopping, so we could just go off whenever we felt like it.

We had a couple of days visiting the theme parks and then spent some time relaxing by our pool to recover from all the walking and the fabulous rides. Our favourite was “The Hulk” at Islands of Adventure in Universal! AMAZING!!!

We loved Disney and one of my favourite parks was Hollywood Studios, along with their two waterparks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon), Seaworld and the attached waterpark of Aquatica and Discovery Cove (for swimming with the dolphins) Universal studios and Islands of Adventure. The shopping was a great experience and I had plenty of choice at the Florida Mall! I was too busy with the rides to visit the Mall at Millenia and Prime Outlet mall which is on international drive and great for picking up some fantastic bargains.

We ate out most days, we chose fast food restaurants and steak houses, but a particular favourite of mine is Denny’s Diner which is cheap and cheerful. We had a 2 course dinner that was really nice and only cost around $20 for 2. We never went hungry in the Sunshine State!!

I can thoroughly recommend Orlando and all it has to offer. This was my eighth visit so far and will continue to go again, so get in touch for all the best advice you need.
