I wanted to make public my huge respect for Donna and the Travel Counsellors team during this tough time. I had two holidays booked through Travel Counsellors (TC), who have been my preferred travel agent for a number of years. You don’t realise how good a firm is until a crisis hits. Donna led the TC response to me, communicate throughout the period to ensure I had the most up to date information and was therefore able to make the right decisions regarding the holidays in question. When I had defined that I wanted refunds on both, Donna and the team moved quickly to kick off the process and return my monies which were refunded in full. I am full of admiration for a firm clearly impacted by this crisis, who continued to put their customers first. I will never book my travel with anyone else.

Liz has been absolutely brilliant helping us throughout the whole process. She took away the stress of the planning and booking and constantly kept us up to date. Her knowledge was great and I would definitely recommend Travel Counsellors to anyone.

The only people I’d trust to book my travel! We have booked our holidays through Lizzie Adamson-Brown (Travel Counsellor) for years now. Her service has always been amazing, but this year it’s been on a whole new level. Our holiday was cancelled as the coronavirus pandemic took hold. All over social media, I was seeing horror stories about people who could not get hold of their travel agents. Lizzie, though, phoned us. She keeps us updated the whole time, and when the trip was officially cancelled she got it rebooked for next year with no fuss whatsoever. Even when facing what is probably the biggest crisis to hit the travel industry, Lizzie has been cool, calm, and collected. An absolute pleasure to work with, and I simply wouldn’t book elsewhere. Highly, Highly recommend Travel Counsellors, and Lizzie in particular.

After having previous personal experiences with Romy, my husband and I hired her to plan our long-awaited journey to Europe. Our vacation was to include time in Cambridge and London as well as Brussels, Belgium. From the very beginning, Romy showed excitement and genuine care and desire to help us plan the best vacation possible. We had a budget, but also understand value, so she asked us questions about our many needs and wants on our trip- hotel accommodation styles, locations, activities, rail travel, and more. She suggested local pubs and eateries as well! We then spent time in London- we both agreed that a more value hotel here would do. She found an outstanding small hotel one block from the St Pancras station- absolutely perfect! St Pancras is also where the Eurostar chunnel connects London to Brussels, so our last morning we were able to pack up and walk right back to the train! From there, we were delighted to discover our hotel accommodations had not only an amazing location. This hotel, the Bedford Congress, was a few very short blocks from the Grand Place. We were able to walk past the Waffle shops every day (it smells amazing. The fact that we could so easily walk everywhere from this hotel, but feel like we had plenty of space to relax in the room at night, showed us how much thought Romy put into planning our vacation. Our flights connected through Iceland, which was our request, but Romy was able to secure an overnight layover with a full 24 hours in Iceland for us, for only $50 more on Icelandair. We had such a fun night and are so grateful she was able to do this for us. Romy was incredibly professional, friendly, knowledgeable, engaging, caring, and really made us feel special. We know she knows the world, and can't wait until travel reopens so we can explore more and more with her help! Thank you Romy!

It therefore came as no surprise, when we decided to get married, that our honeymoon should be back to India and then on the Maldives, in fact back to the same island in the Maldives which you arranged for us in January 2016 as we were so impressed by your choice. The personal service you always provide to Graham and I is second to none and the little touches we receive from you before, during and after our travels are always so kind and thoughtful and make our trips even more special and memorable. To celebrate a golden Wedding Anniversary we (two couples) decided to use the services of Liz Standley to book our trip to Sandals in Grenada. This was the first time we had used Travel Counsellors and Liz. Right from the start of the process she was very professional in her approach to our booking and we found the whole process easy and stress free. She took care of all the details of our trip – upgrading flights etc. Unfortunately, due to the Covid 19 pandemic our holiday was cancelled with much disappointment. Given this was not exactly a cheap holiday the thought of us not being refunded in full was a big concern. Throughout the process Liz worked very hard to ensure we were kept informed as to the progress of our refund right up to the day the money was transferred back into our accounts. We will not forget all the help and patience Liz showed us throughout the process and when we feel comfortable travelling once more we will definitely use the services of Liz and Travel Counsellors for future trips.
