175 years ago, in 1840, Sir Samuel Cunard set sail aboard Britannia and founded the great transatlantic steamship service. Since that date, there have been hundreds of ships owned and operated by the Cunard Line. From the small paddle steamers to the magnificence of the Queens, Cunard Line has operated a vast array of ships over 175 years. Now, Cunard boasts three magnificent ships - Queen Elizabeth, Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria.
Spoilt for choice there are Britannia, Britannia Club, Princess Grill and Queens Grill staterooms and suites. All en suite and air conditioned. Nightly turndown service and steward to look ensure your stateroom or suite is always pristine. Satellite TV (with multi-language film and music channels). As part of the QM2 remastering all grades of Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites are receiving a complete make-over to offer unsurpassed levels of comfort and elegance. The finest suites at sea will be reconfigured and will benefit from brand new seating, lighting, soft furnishings and upgraded technology. In addition to the Grill Suites, Britannia Staterooms will also see changes including 30 brand new Britannia Club Balcony staterooms, new decor for all current Britannia Club Balcony staterooms, 15 brand new Single staterooms and all Britannia staterooms will be refurbished over 2016-2017. The accommodation for our four-legged friends is also being extended during the 2016 refit to introduce 10 new kennels, allowing more cats and dogs to travel with their owners on Transatlantic Crossings. We’ll also enhance the owners’ lounge area, create a new inside play area, increase the outside walking area and extend the services offered.
