As we all await further government announcements, I wanted to give you a brief update, and do I hope that you are keeping safe and well at this time. We've been working closely with our customers whose bookings have been affected in recent weeks and are continuing to be there for you by working through all the options available to amend travel plans with the support of our supplier partners. We are ensuring that we apply the utmost care and attention to every booking, and would like to thank you for your patience and support.

Last month we received the exciting news that Travel Counsellors has won the Queen's Award for Enterprise for the third time in the company's history, recognising the care and support that our people have been providing across the globe. Of course this is great news for Travel Counsellors, but our focus as always remains on being there for our customers at this time. We could not have won this prestigious Queen's Award without our people and our customers, and would like to dedicate this accolade to you.

We recognise that feeling confident about your travel plans is so important at the moment. Many of you have been making enquiries and bookings for later this year and 2021, telling us that you are so looking forward to a well-earned break away. Your Travel Counsellor is here to guide you through the most flexible options offered by our travel partners, and can create itineraries tailor-made to you - from UK breaks to distant shores.

For 25 years Travel Counsellors has established a reputation for providing a truly personal travel service and taking good care of customers.

For many of you, your Travel Counsellor has always been there, and the last few weeks have been no exception. With the latest Foreign & Commonwealth Office advice extending the pause on non-essential travel for a little longer, and with the knowledge that this restriction could be lifted at any time, we are continuing to support our Travel Counsellors to take care of you, and prioritising working through bookings affected in departure date order.

Over the years as a company we have navigated through many changes and challenges, but with a loyal customer base (which we never take for granted) and by delivering unparalleled personal service, we are well placed to steer through these challenging times, which we all hope will soon pass. Each and every one of us in the global Travel Counsellors community is focused on doing everything we can to support  you, and each other, during this time.

I’m sure it goes without saying that we’re all looking forward, with great anticipation and excitement, to the time when we can travel the world again, and in the meantime I do hope you’re keeping very safe and well.

Whilst we are living through a time that we could never have imagined only a few weeks ago, and which we do hope will be short-lived, our Travel Counsellors are continuing to focus on providing care, advice and support for their customers.

Many customers have been opting to rearrange cancelled travel plans until later in the year or in to 2021, and it’s wonderful to think that we can facilitate something positive for you to look forward to once we emerge from the current situation we are all facing and as we all follow the latest UK Government advice on travel, both at home, and abroad.

For those of you who have had an affected booking you’ll shortly receive a more detailed email on how we are taking care of your arrangements.

I hope you, along with your friends, family and loved ones, are keeping safe and well at this difficult time.

I wanted to personally get in touch to let you know what we’re doing here at Travel Counsellors to keep our people and our travellers safe, and to thank you for your continued support.

At this moment our focus on caring for people, their welfare and safety, has never felt more important. We have been diligently following the latest travel advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, as well as supporting our customers, Travel Counsellors and colleagues to take the necessary steps to take care of themselves.

As the situation continues to evolve, we’re doing everything we can to ensure your travel safety, look after every element of your booking, and provide as much flexibility to you as possible. Here are some of the key steps we’ve taken:

Despite uncertain times one thing will always remain constant - we are here for you. Your Travel Counsellor is continuing to run their corporate and leisure travel business wherever it’s secure to do so, working flexibly to be there for you whenever you need them.
