Grenada Music Festival (7th to 9th June): Taking place at the breathtaking Quarantine Point peninsula, this fabulous festival promises to blend the best of favourite classics with new and trending talent. Friday brings Rhythm and Soul, Saturday is Reggae Fest and Sunday climaxes with Soca Fusion.
Grenada Carnival (12th to 13th August): Also known as ‘Spicemas’, the Grenada Carnival is the island’s premier cultural event. A Grenadian expression in all its glory, this fabulous annual festival is bursting with pageantry and expression linked to the island’s African, French, British and Caribbean heritage. Colourful, humorous and full of surprises, prepare to be wowed by the calypso bands, steel pan orchestras, parades and costumes.
Grenada’s entry at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, ‘A Carnival of Exotic Tropical Blooms’ won a highly coveted Gold Medal, the island’s fifteenth to date. An energetic representation of the colourful outfits worn by revellers at the annual ‘Spicemas’ carnival celebrations, lucky visitors to the annual flower show had the chance to experience a Grenada festival right here in the UK.
Pure Grenada Dive Fest (29th September to 4th October): Grenada is home to over 30 intriguing dive sites, including the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean, the ‘Bianca C’, and the world’s first underwater sculpture park.
