To give you a flavour of what you can expect from the Regent Seven Seas Cruises® experience, we’ve highlighted one of our favourite itineraries offering exclusive savings to Travel Counsellors customers.
Departing 10th January 2024, Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ all-inclusive Secret Islands of the South Pacific trip on board Seven Seas Navigator takes you on a spellbinding journey around this far-flung part of the world over 18 unforgettable nights, starting in Sydney and taking you to Papeete in Tahiti via enchanting destinations including Vanuatu, Fiji, Samoa and Bora Bora.
Following your departure from the cosmopolitan city of Sydney, your route is awash in delightful discoveries that include the ‘Paris of the Pacific’, Nouméa in New Caledonia, where French fine dining, designer boutiques and cosmopolitan residents are joined by the longest barrier reef in the world. Then there’s Vanuatu’s castaway Mystery Island, a marine sanctuary with thriving reefs alive with clown and parrot fish, and a perfect stop-off for some stand-up paddleboarding, massages beneath the pine fronds and a beach feast of freshly cooked lobster and banana pie prepared and served by local residents.
After that, you’ll be thrilled by the Samoan island of Apia with its vibrant Maketi Fou food market, its flea market bursting with everything from kava bowls to local sarongs, and its landscape of blue lagoons, tropical beaches, cascading waterfalls and lush rainforests. You won’t want to miss the beautifully restored home of author Robert Louis Stevenson on Mount Vaea, or to leave without trying the ocean-fresh fish wrapped in banana leaves and cooked in an umu – an earth oven of hot stones.
The optional excursions that are available – 69 of which are included in your cruise package on this sailing – are normally confirmed a year in advance of the cruise. But based on previous cruises, they are likely to include a helicopter flight over the bays, beaches and lagoon of Nouméa, with possible sea turtle sightings, and a visit to Port Vila’s Ekasup Cultural Village to delve deeply into the ancient, indigenous ways of life in a rainforest village where they’re still practised.
On Suva, you might get chance to discover Fiji's unique flavours and cuisine at a spice farm hosting a cooking lesson and tasting, while in Bora Bora, you could hop aboard a jet ski and pilot your watercraft to a remote sandbar for the most incredible views back over the island’s twin volcanic peaks.
Your vessel is the Seven Seas Navigator with its wonderful facilities and amenities including a large heated pool with expansive teak decking, a top-deck putting green, a spa with specially curated treatments, a jogging track and a fitness centre hosting yoga, Pilates and meditation sessions.
Five tempting restaurants include the elegant, newly refurbished Prime 7 with its filets mignons, côtes de boeuf and other prime steaks and seafood, the convivial, open-air Pool Grill, and Sette Mari at La Veranda with its authentic Italian specialities based on recipes handed down through the generations.
All Seven Seas Navigator suites have ocean views, a soothing colour palette, luxurious bath amenities, a cosy robe, superior Elite Slumber™ beds and 24-hour room service. They range from Deluxe Suites with large picture windows to the spectacular Master Suites with personal butlers and two private balconies. All come with a welcome bottle of champagne, L’Occitane toiletries, a daily replenished mini-bar and an interactive flatscreen TV with complimentary movies.
