The second day begins with a flavour of rural Thailand. Guests are taken to visit the nearby market in Takhun where they can see first-hand what the local lifestyle is really like.
Following the market trip, a sightseeing trip on board a traditional longtail boat follows, within the serene surroundings of Cheow Larn Lake, before lacing up your walking boots and venturing into the jungle with your expert guides to experience this distinctive environment for yourself.
The final activity in this wondrous location is one to remember, a guided canoe safari and wildlife spotting excursion where guests can spend their final few hours in the jungle spotting the final remaining creatures that have eluded them up until this point. Spectacled Langur, Clouded Leopard, binturong, white-crowned hornbill and Asian water monitors have all been known to wander the forest and pop up along the riverbanks, giving guests a memorable moment. Savour the sights and sounds as you pass through large stretches of untouched forest and create memories to last a lifetime.
Camping out in the wilderness certainly doesn’t mean you will be sleeping rough. The glamorous camping facilities at Elephant Hills provide comfortable surroundings for you to relax in after a day full of activities. On the 3 days & 2 nights Jungle Lake Safari, guests will spend each night in a different camp. The first night is spent at the Elephant Camp in the thick jungle, while the second is at the floating camp on Cheow Larn Lake. This is one of the only luxury floating tented camps in the world and sits on the emerald green waters of the lake.
