Look ahead to 2022 with P&O Cruises

04 March 2021

P&O Cruises are giving us a lot to look forward to next year with the release of their cruise programme up until November 2022 and the unveiling of their new ship. Arvia, meaning ‘from the seashore’, will join the P&O Cruises fleet in December 2022 with a design that celebrates the stunning views of the ocean and seashore that you can expect as you sail onboard.

Say hello to Arvia

An exciting milestone in the future of British cruising has been marked as construction begins for P&O Cruises next Excel class ship - Arvia. The first piece of steel has been cut during a virtual ceremony at Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, ahead of Arvia joining the rest of the fleet in December 2022.

Ask your Travel Counsellor to let you know as soon as Arvia's itineraries are released so that you can be amongst the first to book your place on board.

Norwegian Fjords

Bring the family along for this adventure through Norway’s awe-inspiring fjords in which you’ll experience the wonder of nature as well as Norway’s rich culture. On a stop at the former European Capital of Culture, Stavanger, you’ll be free to explore its mix of museums and galleries, before you head north into the country’s more rugged terrain. Onboard Iona you’ll have several pools to choose between whether you want to have fun as a family or relax in an ambient setting. On top of the exciting stop offs at ports along your journey, P&O Cruises has a selection of shore experiences, that are available at an additional cost, to help envelope you more deeply in the destinations you visit.

Beaches and culture of the Mediterranean

Lounge on the beaches of Italy, France and Malta in between soaking up the culture and history of these storied countries. Following your departure from Valletta you’ll spend a day at sea before arriving on the island of Corsica to wander along its palm-lined promenade and pastel-hued shopping streets. Head to the local marketplace to pick up local handicrafts and souvenirs of your visit. Your first stop in mainland France brings you to the relatively unknown resort of Villefranche; where a short walk along its narrow, cobbled streets is sure to have you stumble upon a quiant local café or chic boutique. During your time in Italy, you’ll visit the bustling port town of Livorno and the Eternal City of Rome on a trip from the port of Civitavecchia.

Your ship, Azura, perfectly balances opportunity for some quality time as a family with the chance to be independent. In the evenings, gather to watch a cabaret show in Manhattan, a musical and dance production in The Playhouse Theatre, or an open-air cinema screening at SeaScreen. In the day, as the kids enjoy the fun at The Reef kids’ club, parents can unwind with an alfresco spa treatment at The Retreat under one of the shaded cabanas with personal wait service.
