The wait is almost over, on 14th May P&O Cruises’ new ship Iona will embark on her maiden voyage to the Norwegian fjords and you could be on board. Beyond the thrill of being amongst the first to sail on Iona and entering the world of wonder that awaits in the Norwegian Fjords, you’ll also be lucky enough to see a magnificent line up of artists throughout your holiday.
Iona is breaking new ground. While you can expect many of your most-loved P&O Cruises features, you’ll enjoy even more favourites with Iona. What will you discover first? Her inviting Infinity Pool, or perhaps her exclusive new Conservatory Mini-suites? Iona is the first British ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas; the first ship in the P&O Cruises fleet with 30 places to wine and dine; and she’s the first to house out-of-this-world performances in her innovative SkyDome. And the best bit? You could be the very first to experience it all…
The brand-new vessel will host the very first distillery at sea, producing deliciously smooth gins in collaboration with the award-winning distiller, Salcombe Gin. The unique spirit will be distilled, bottled and labelled on board, allowing guests to sample the product of the beautifully balanced recipe during the trip.
In order to make this the most memorable voyage in the company’s history, P&O Cruises has enlisted the help of an all-star line up to deliver an exciting programme of entertainment throughout the cruise.
Tony Hadley, Jason Donovan and Alexandra Burke will all be joining you on board, performing throughout the maiden cruise. Alongside these captivating performances, Alex James will be DJing in SkyDome – all included in the price of your holiday.
The entertainment doesn’t stop there, you can enjoy exclusive evenings in The Limelight Club where for Iona’s maiden voyage, you’ll be joined by Gabrielle, Denise Van Outen and La Voix. To get a spot at the shows, be sure to book in advance of your holiday.
The performances by this star-studded line-up will come alongside the regular programme of riveting entertainment found across P&O Cruises’ sailings including the original shows from Creativiva, bringing incredible circus and aerial acts to SkyDome and the Grand Atrium.
The maiden voyage of Iona will set sail from Southampton on 14th May for nine nights of incredible onboard entertainment and captivating views as Iona sails along the scenic western coastline of Norway.
Following the cruise departure, you’ll spend two days at sea in which time you can explore Iona’s sparkling new facilities, innovative design and unique spaces as you connect with the natural environment that surrounds you. Pay a visit to the SkyDome, where the glass dome roof and spacious interior plays host to a relaxed poolside atmosphere during the day, where tantalising dining and drinks options are served up, and a must-visit entertainment venue in the evening.
