What is the current UK Government framework for the safe return to international travel?

28 July 2021

The UK Government has a traffic light system in place, with destinations categorised as 'green', 'green watchlist', 'amber', 'amber +' and 'red' outlining the entry requirements on return to the UK.

Destinations categorised as green mean that you do not have to self-isolate on return to England, however the traffic light system should always be used in conjunction with the latest travel advice from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).
