It's Nice To Meet You

Hello and welcome to my travel page.
I live in a beautiful area of Lincolnshire with my husband, 2 teenage children and my beautiful 1 off pedigree dogs.

I have 24 years’ experience in travel, during which I have been privileged to arrange some truly memorable experiences for my customers.

I love arranging weddings and unlike high street agencies and online holiday companies as a Travel Counsellor I am not tied to traditional holiday companies. Thanks to some of the latest technology and the financial security that comes with the Travel Counsellor family, you can rest assured that not only will I give you my very best attention and customer service, but you will spend your holiday time doing exactly what you want to do.

If you love the idea of sharing your wedding vows with your friends and family in a Private Gaming Reserve in South Africa, having a blessing on a secluded beach (not surrounded by bikini clad strangers) take a helicopter ride to a remote glacier and say I do with your best friend, give me a call and I will help you make your dreams a reality.

Not sure what to ask your family for a wedding gift, have enough towels and glasses? Ask me about our Honeymoon Gift Registry and have the honeymoon trip of a lifetime.

My experience isn’t just in weddings and honeymoons, I have arranged overseas conferences, round the world trips, romantic luxury breaks, cruises and much much more.

Pick up the phone and call me and take the first step on your next adventure.

Day 1 - The flight

01 July 2019

The intention of my recent trip to Mauritius was to visit a selection of hotels and develop a good working relationship with the hotel guest relation team and wedding planners. Day 1. Airport parking and the flight. On Sunday we drove to Gatwick Airport and parked at APH Parking. This was really easy, you drive in and hand your keys to reception, they park it onsite and have it ready for when you return. The transfer bus arrived 10 minutes later and the journey to the airport took about 20 minutes. We checked in for our Tui flight. We had upgraded to premium economy as we didn't fancy a 12 hour flight on a normal charter. We had FastTrack through passport control and use of a lounge until the flight was boarding. The flight was surprisingly good, we had plenty of leg room and the food was probably the best airline food I've eaten. The crew were very attentive and professional.

19 Hotels in 7 days

14 June 2019

On Sunday I will start my tour of the beautiful island of Mauritius. Travelling with my husband Matt to Gatwick we will be flying with TUI, experiencing their Premium Economy class which means we will start my journey in their lounge before boarding for the flight. I will take plenty of photos to share with you all. On arrival we will pick up our hire car and make our way to Beachcombers Shandrani where we will use their facilities to shower and freshen before our breakfast meeting and tour of the hotel. Our journey will continue to the North Coast where we will spend our first night at Beachcombers Canonnier. Check in with me on my Facebook Page to follow our progress as we tour the island finding the very best places to stay

Short Break in Oxford

01 April 2019

Had a lovely weekend in Oxford at the end of March. The weather was beautiful, Springtime is one of my favourite times of the year to take short UK city breaks just before the main tourist season starts. We stayed at the Oxford South Courtyard by Marriot in a deluxe room with King Size bed. It only took us about 15 minutes to drive to the centre of Oxford, parking was £15 for 5 hours right in the centre of the city. Right next to the hotel was a Beefeater Restaurant and a Costa Drive Through which was great for breakfast and the night we didn't eat in Oxford. There really is so much to do in Oxford, we spent most of our time walking in the sunshine, down by the canal and exploring the stunning architecture. You can do this with a guide but we are fairly independent and prefer to take things at our own pace. That way we could enjoy the outside seating at many pubs, including the rooftop terrace at the Westgate Shopping Centre. The highlight of our trip was the Bodleian Library, we took a tour which took us into the heart of the library, if only I could share the smell and nostalgia...

Gill was amazing, Taylor making our honeymoon to what we wanted when other travel companies failed

Sent by Daniella Riscoe

Where do I even begin! I met Gill by chance and I’m so happy I did! I told her exactly what I wanted down to exact dates, hotels, flight times, transfers, everything - and boy did she deliver?! She’s arranged my absolute dream honeymoon and she even got it for me at a better price that I could have imagined! I had been to Virgin, Kuoni, everywhere, and nobody could get me what I wanted but Gill really did deliver - she’s been fantastic from the speedy responses to calling me to check that I’m happy on her birthday! You cannot get this kind of service anywhere else. She’s hard working, dedicated, professional and a real sweetheart. She’s helped make the whole process from start to finish an absolute breeze. It’s the first time I’m using her but won’t be the last! Thank you to Gill and Travel Counsellors for being an incredible travel company with first-class service you’ve made a bride to be extremely happy.
