Beautiful St Lucia
We flew out of London Gatwick airport in Virgin Atlantic Premium Economy and were given exclusive use of the First Class Lounge, which was out of this world! The food was outstanding and the service even better. On the flight the Cabin staff were very attentive and helpful. The seats themselves seemed old but the extras that came with it made up for it.
The Coconut Bay Beach Resort was just a five minute transfer away, which was great just after the long haul flight. We were welcomed by plenty of staff with a welcome drink and stewards to take our luggage to our rooms. Upon arrival at our rooms, we were pleased to see they were very modern and large! We were also very impressed with the views over the sea even better. The bathrooms were a little less modern but still very clean and usable.
The food in the hotel was second to none and the staff were also very friendly. The entertainment was excellent and very well planned out. The facilities were plentiful to keep all members of the family entertained, including three water slides, water fountains and a lazy river, which was where I spent most of my free time!
If you prefer the quiet side then there is an adults only pool and Jacuzzi overlooking the sea and a very modern spa with all treatments on offer
The beach is on the Atlantic coast so was quite choppy and full of seaweed! So you really need to be pool lovers here. But the watersports such as Kite Surfing and wind surfing were excellent and only cost a small supplement.
I would definitely come here on my own holidays and wouldn't think twice about recommending it to anyone.
