Planning and arranging a complicated trip to Saint Helena, via South Africa, became much simpler with Gina’s help. However, her true expertise shone when the Saint Helena Airport was unexpectedly closed for two weeks on my transfer day when I was in Johannesburg, making the weekly flight unavailable. This left me potentially stranded in SA for two weeks, but Gina reassured me and promptly arranged a return flight to Heathrow for the following day, allowing me to unwind by the pool in the meantime. When the airport reopened, Gina rearranged my holiday to St Helena, choosing excellent hotels for each leg of my Johannesburg stopover, ensuring they had pools - essential after a long flight. The long-awaited onward flight to Saint Helena was the start of a wonderful holiday, highlighted by a once-in-a-lifetime swim with a whale shark.
