My name is Jenny and I am your Personal Travel Planner based in Hoxne, near Eye where I live with my husband & teenage son in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. I've been working in travel now for over 20 years and have been an Independent Travel Counsellor for over 5 years. Working from home I have the flexibility to deliver a personal, travel planning service tailored to suit you. If you are locally based in either Suffolk or South Norfolk, I also offer a personal, one-to-one home consultation service - free of charge.
I specialise in bespoke travel creating tailor-made tours and holidays far and wide. If you are planning an adventure of your own and have no idea where to start, then that’s where I come in. Just email me an outline of your plans and I’ll start the ball rolling. I can create a multi-centre itinerary for any destination and work with you to bring your ideas to life, within your chosen budget. And it doesn’t stop at the booking stage. I’m with you every step of the way with our 24/7 Duty Office should problems occur or to simply recommend a local tour guide or suggest a restaurant popular with the locals – think of me as your talking guidebook!
I cater for any type of adventure booking boutique hotels, getaway city breaks, family adventure holidays, cycling and walking holidays, solo travel & health and well being breaks. Over the last few months I have been increasing my knowledge of sustainable and responsible travel through the The Travel Foundation's 'Go Greener' online training programme to help introduce sustainable practices and values into my business. This is an area I am extremely passionate, about and so it seems are my clients who are increasingly concerned about how their travel plans impact on local communities, wildlife and resources. I can now offer advice and make recommendations on how you can travel as responsibly as possible.
I’ve managed to experience some amazing adventures of my own over the last few years. Whether its been exploring the beautiful island of Sri Lanka with its incredible wildlife, temples, beaches and culture on a family adventure holiday or celebrating a ‘BIG’ birthday weekend in Valencia with my girlfriends! From climbing Vesuvius and stopping for a picnic lunch on the Path of the Gods on the Amalfi Coast to gazing out over Lake Windermere in an outdoor thermal pool. Or travelling back in time to the old Medina in Marrakech and seeing the sun set over the Atlas Mountains to sailing along the Turquoise Coast on a traditional gulet in Turkey. Travel is still my passion in life!
My areas of expertise and interest: Northern Africa including Morocco & Egypt, Southern Europe including Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece & Turkey & India Subcontinent including Sri Lanka & Thailand.
And remember, everything you book with me is completely financially protected with our unique Travel Counsellor Trust – so your travel plans are safe in my hands every time. 100% independent, 100% financially protected and 100% customer service every time.
I look forward to working with you to create your adventure of a lifetime!

Taking the direct route to the Coast our journey continued to the fortified harbour town of Essaouira only stopping en route to spot the famous 'goats in trees', only found in this part of Morocco. The goats climb up an impressive 8-10 metres to retrieve the fresh argon nuts at the top. It was once thought that they ate the fresh fruit and 'deposited it' out the other end where the 'processed' nut would be used to make the prized Argon Oil. But in fact, they chew the nut and spit it out instead! Either way the goats aid the...

From Marrakech we drove out to The Ourigane Valley at the foothills of The Atlas Mountains - about an hour and a half from the city and a chance to escape the heat! A beautiful landscape with isolated towns and winding roads leading up into Berber country - the ancient hill tribes of Morocco. Along this route is the Tizi n Test Pass, a mountainous road full of hair pin bends but with spectacular views with only nearly enough room for two cars to pass. After 4/5 hours of hair raising driving, it eventually winds its way down to the...

I recently visited the North African country of Morocco at the end of March to improve my knowledge of different types of accommodation in the city of Marrakech. Morocco is a country I know very well after visiting a few times over the last 20 years (I even went there on my honeymoon) but I had only previously stayed and visited riads in the old Medina. It was a great opportunity to sample some of the newer hotels just outside the old city offering good facilities for families, couples and golfers alike. Morocco is fast becoming a hot spot...

With over tourism blighting many tourist hotspots in Europe of late, finding alternative destinations away from the crowds is becoming something of a challenge. Barcelona is still on many people’s ‘wish list’ and finding somewhere similar that delivers on style, architectural wow, vibe and classic beach/city mix is a tall order but Valencia does just that and more! Where is it? Spain’s third largest city, the port of Valencia lies on Spain’s South eastern Coast where the Turia River meets the Mediterranean Sea. Rich in striking architecture and Art Nouveau buildings with a lively restaurant and nightlife this city does deliver. Not...

So where to go for our first family long haul trip? Well elephants, wildlife, beaches and temples were definitely on the short-list! So ever since seeing the Duran Duran video 'Save a Prayer' in 1982 filmed there entirely on location I knew it had to be Sri Lanka! After agonising over luxury lodges, private car and driver and fine dining (which my husband and myself would have loved but our 10 year old son would have not) we decided on our first family adventure trip. Arriving off an overnight long haul flight in Economy is never easy but arriving to meet...

With just under four hours flying time from the UK, Marrakech is the perfect location for an autumn or spring break to soak up the sun, browse the souks for a bargain, sample some Moroccan cuisine or simply chill out in a rooftop bar, overlooking one of the most famous squares in Africa – El Jemma el Fna. I was last here nearly 14 years ago, on my honeymoon in fact. During that visit I can definitely say that I fell in love with this magical city so was very keen to see what, if anything had changed. Arriving at the...

Our family have been to Dalyan many times in the past 20 years and seen many changes. Avoiding the mistakes of many by only building low rise along the river delta it has managed to hold onto its Turkish charm and still eludes that olde world feel. Every day the little boats ply up and down the river to Itzutu Beach beneath the ancient Lycian rock tombs, passing through the high reed beds made famous in the 1956 film 'The African Queen'. By recommendation from friends we decided to stay at a new find for us about 1.5 km out of...

Just after Christmas my young son came home from school to declare “Mum I really want to go to Rome and stand in The Colosseum like a gladiator”! Are you doing the Romans this term I asked? So as an eight birthday present for my son (and the chance of a city break for myself and my husband!) we settled on The Eternal City. After some research I decided it would be better value for money and a little adventurous to stay out of the city in a residential area and travel in each day. With only two lines and...

It was my husbands 40th birthday and was wanting to take him away for a few days as a surprise. Jenny was fantastic, not only did she book us a fabulous holiday, she helped me choose the right destination, found us a beautiful holtel and just thought of everything from start to finish so all we had to do and worry about was enjoy our break.

Thank you to Jenny for co-ordinating a fantastic holiday to NYC for a special birthday. Jenny skilfully handled several changes in trip plans (due to a change in personal circumstances within the travelling group). Jenny thought about the extras that count - advise about ESTAs, a travel summary sheet, ideas about what to do when there. We were given an upgrade and surprise treats on our arrival at the hotel, all set-up by Jenny. The knowledge she'd be available if we needed her whilst away was reassuring and her aftercare was exceptional too.

Jenny is a professional that has clearly got passion, high energy and great listening skills. I have used Jenny a few times to arrange short breaks and holidays. She always delivers to the brief and is well organised. She does all the thinking for you, all you need to do is to get to the airport the rest of it she has taken care of, right down to the labels for the cases. Everything arrived in a neat folder and the only concern you have is how do we get to the airport and what to pack. She is somebody I would definitely use again and again as ultimately reliable

Using a travel agent had not really been anything I was considering until I met Jenny! We were going to New York for Christmas trawling websites and she offered to help and do all the hard work (I have a long list of must haves!) I cannot recommend Jenny enough, she goes above and beyond and has such passion for her work. We were thrilled with the whole holiday that she found us, which was under our proposed budget too! From start to finish, Jenny constantly kept in touch and made us feel like we had a PA! Thank you Jenny, we look forward to another great trip in the not too distant future!

We are now back from our amazing holiday. Everything went just as you planned it. The Grand Capodimonte in Sorrento was amazing and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Both hotels were in a perfect location. Rome was amazing too we didn't waste a single minute. Thank you so much for all your hard work in arranging it.
