Hi, I'm John, a Travel Counsellor based in Hornchurch, Essex.
My family run a beautiful vintage tea shop in town where I'm happy to meet and discuss your travel plans over a cuppa.
I've passionately worked in travel for many years, creating bespoke round the world itineraries for everyone from budget-minded gap year students to the retired and restless.
These days I specialise in sports travel, creating tailor-made itineraries to sporting events all over the world. So whether you’ve dreamed of attending a Formula 1 Grand Prix, an American football game in the States or a heavyweight boxing clash, let me know. The range of sports I cover is extensive and designed to suit you.
I also specialise in adventure travel, particularly in the Americas, from Canada all the way down to Patagonia. I fell in love with South America from a young age. It's so full of energy, culture and natural wonder. Colombia is my absolute favourite country. As a US sports enthusiast, I've also spent a lifetime flying Stateside, taking in a ball game and driving coast to coast. But I can assist with all corners of the globe.
My own travels have been very diverse. I've walked with monks in Tibet, swam with penguins in the Galapagos, studied Spanish in Guatemala and searched for Dracula in the heart of Romania. It's what I love about travel, the sheer range and variety.
I take pride in my travellers having an incredible time. So not only do you gain more professionalism and security arranging your travels through me, but it's a far more personal experience that you just don't find on the high street or online.
I've been a guest travel expert on BBC Radio and believe that nothing can create stories or memories quite like travel, so if you want to make your next adventure, feel free to get in touch.

John has helped me out on two of my trips now, when I was a young fresh faced traveller. He helped my first trip run so smoothly and gave me such good advice for a beginner - I couldn't really fault him! Helped me plan exactly what I needed at exactly the right time! 10/10!
With independent access to thousands of travel suppliers around the world, I've got an eye for added value. Take a look through my latest selections below. But even if nothing particularly catches your eye - don't worry! Let's chat and I'll take the hassle away from tailoring a perfectly personalised holiday just for you.

I think of myself as an adopted ‘green belly’. The nickname for the residents of Antigua, Guatemala. So-called because of the abundance of avocados that grow and are consumed by ‘las panzas verdes’. I fell in love with Antigua when I first passed through on a whistle-stop trip of Central America. And I’d gone back for more. It was a world away from the urban edginess of the capital, Guatemala City, and yet only 45 minutes away in a taxi from the airport to reach this quaint UNESCO gem. And I always find cobblestone streets endearing. They take you back to classic...

Johnny Cash once said, “If you aren’t gonna say exactly how and what you feel, you might as well not say anything at all.” Well, I’m saying it loud and clear, Nashville is a must-see American city. Like an explosion on the senses of musical sounds and Southern cooking, it balances an unlimited supply of entertainment without sacrificing any of the expected hospitality. I’d travelled to Nashville raised on a passion for country music and Americana. But you don’t have to be a country music aficionado to fall in love with this city. The bars downtown offer the blues,...
