What a travel company!! Took care of absolutely everything for us. Every step of our journey was planned meticulously by Karen our travel advisor. We decided to change plans the last minute and Karen was on hand to sort this for us within 30 minutes whilst we were over in the states. First time using the company and Karen was absolutely outstanding. Vietnam / Cambodia My wife and I have just returned from a holiday to Vietnam and Cambodia, which was put together by Karen of Travel Counsellors. Our flights were coordinated with minimum lay over times, and all check-ins arranged in advance. All airport transfers, to and from hotels went without a hitch, and were all on time. Karen had arranged extra excursions for us during our trip, and again, all went perfectly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company, and would like to thank Karen for all her help and expertise.

Karen helped us plan our honeymoon in August 2025 to Tanzania for a safari, followed by Zanzibar, and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the very beginning of the planning process through to the moment we arrived home, the level of care, organisation, and attention to detail was incredible. The safari itself was beyond anything we could ever have imagined. From the stunning accommodations and our knowledgeable safari driver to exploring Tarangire National Park and witnessing the wildlife up close, every moment felt truly surreal and breathtaking. It’s hard to put into words just how special the experience was. We originally thought this would be a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but we can confidently say we’ll be booking many more adventures to Africa with Karen and the team at Travel Counsellors. I can’t recommend Karen enough! I wasn’t the easiest client — my plans kept changing and my brief wasn’t exactly clear — but she was endlessly patient and understanding. She found the perfect hotel in Cyprus that felt safe and comfortable for me to take the kids on my own, with great facilities like padel tennis and golf. Her local tips and recommendations were spot on, and she provided everything in one easy-to-navigate place, which took all the stress out of planning. Super helpful from start to finish!

Karen was fantastic and committed throughout the whole process. She is also such a lovely person to deal with! Tailoring a holiday for 7 girls is not easy but she managed it was ease. Our trip from start to finish went like clockwork. Everything which we were told would would happen pick ups timings all went to plan. Cant thank Karen enough for organising the complete trip. Will defo be using again for future trips

Karen arranged a trip to Berlin for 8 of us. She organised everything including flights, hotel and transfers not only to and from airport but also to an event. She ensured everything went like clockwork and through her app made sure we were up to date with everything all the time. Fantastic Vietnam and Cambodia We were looking to go a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia and got a recommendation to try Travel Counsellors from a friend. We made contact with Karen Durie in Glasgow and from then on it was a dream. The trip was tailored to suit our needs and what we wanted. The hotels were in great locations and all had very high standards and the trips arranged were amazing. The organisation and the communication when we were away was excellent and if anything happened or changed we were informed immediately. We will definitely use the company again and Karen for the 5 star service. .

From the offset the advice and support given by Karen was outstanding. She has so much experience to offer. She arranged a trip to the Euros in Germany for us and was on hand 24/7 if we needed anything at all. Karen checked us into our seats in the flights and sent our boarding passes. When we arrived early she had already called the hotel and arranged an early check in and asked for us to have the best room. It’s all in the little touches. She was in touch all the way through our travel making sure we had got on that train ok or shuttle bus. When flying back our flight was delayed due to a presidential flight which stopped all other flights on the runway . This meant we would miss our connection flight from London to Edinburgh . By the time our plane landed in Heathrow Karen had messaged advising what we needed to do. This is so reassuring. She had contacted BA snd had checked airport hotels availability for us and pre booked seats on another flight for us. On arrival in Edinburgh our luggage didn’t turn up and once again Karen was in touch with the airport and the courier. Her service really is 5 star and we couldn’t recommend Karen enough. We had a fantastic trip, stayed in fabulous hotels and have already booked another trip with Karen.

Karen has been excellent. Thoughtful, thorough, gone over and above in our holiday planning and making sure all worked to plan while we were there. We couldn’t have put together this itinerary for Vietnam and Hong Kong ourselves - Karen listened to our brief, reached into her network in Vietnam, and crafted a really well put together plan for us, taking a lot of the stresses away. Nothing was too much trouble, from asking for restaurant recommendations to which tailor does the best job in Hoi An. Thanks Karen, you made our holiday so much more special & hassle free knowing that you were in the background, keeping a watchful eye. Wouldn’t hesitate to ask for Karen’s help again.

Karen provided a fantastic service, she took care of our checkin, seat allocation and printed of our boarding passes, she then sent out 1st class to us . We had asked Karen to recommend a city break . Karen called to go over what we would be looking for in a city break, our likes and dislikes and what our needs were. My husband is waiting on a partial knee replacement and sometimes has difficulty in walking. Karen recommended Prague and took everything into consideration when booking our hotel and the location of the hotel. Our hotel was close to all the main attractions all within walking distance. We stayed in the Art Deco Imperial Hotel which had the Imperial cafe attached we had breakfast there and would recommend it. Trams/buses and trains were easily accessible to the hotel, the trams and buses stopped outside and train was a 5 min walk to the station. Staff at the hotel were lovely and very helpful . Rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean, beautiful hotel. Karen had listened and met all our needs, Private transfers were also arranged to pick us up from the airport and take us to our hotel and the same at the end of our stay back to the airport . On arrival to the hotel after checking in we had a lovely welcome letter and some chocolates waiting for us from Karen. Karen also let us know that she would be on hand during our stay should we need anything. Karen checked in with us at the start and the end of our trip to let us know that our flights were on time and to check on our private transfers had picked us up as planned. What a fantastic service Karen and we are looking forward to arranging our next holiday with you, your recommendation was spot on for our needs. Xx

What a trip. Nearly 4weeks away in Dubai and Thailand. Karen has been a delight to deal with, from the initial contact to understanding what Isabel and me were looking for our dream holiday. Karen arranged a dream trip for 7 of us to Vietnam 6 from Glasgow and 1 from Australia . From start to finish the booking process was simple and the recommendations excellent. We found our trip to be excellent value for money all our flights transfers, hotels and some excursions all sorted by Karen with additional support when we were in Vietnam.
