I'm Kevin Akers, a Travel Counsellor based in the UK, specialising in luxury cruises, premium sports travel, and tailor-made holidays built around the way you actually want to travel.
What that means in practice: I've been to most of the places you're thinking about, sailed on a good number of the ships, sat in the stands at the rugby and watched the Formula 1 from the paddock side. That kind of first-hand knowledge changes the conversation. Instead of sending you a brochure and hoping for the best, I can tell you which cabin category is worth the upgrade, which itinerary suits your travel style, and which hotel is genuinely excellent rather than just well-marketed.
Over 35 years of travelling across the Far East, Africa, the USA, the Caribbean, Europe, and the Mediterranean, I've built up the kind of detailed, on-the-ground knowledge that tends to make the difference between a holiday that was fine and one you talk about for years.
I specialise in three areas:
- Luxury river and ocean cruises. Not just which ship, but which cabin, which line, which itinerary genuinely matches how you like to travel. There's a lot of choice out there and most of it looks the same in a brochure.
- Premium sports travel. Rugby, cricket, and Formula 1, with the hotels, logistics, and arrangements that make the trip as good as the event itself. I've been to these events. I know what works.
- Bespoke, tailor-made holidays worldwide. Multi-centre itineraries, once-in-a-lifetime celebrations, complex trips with a lot of moving parts. I do the detailed work so you don't have to.
