In this fast-paced world we live in, we are bombarded by what computers think we might like to buy based on our browser history; yes that lovely pair of shoes I was looking at were ideal as a gift for my mother, but why do I now see them everywhere?!
So, I am here to make things easy for you, by engaging with you via whichever means you are comfortable with; phone, email, text, social media and even our dedicated myTC app! It's always me at the other end so over time I can get to know exactly what you like, what you look for and those little extras that just tick your boxes.
Oh, have I mentioned that it is my job to help build your dreams and protect your holidays from the demons of bogus reviews, dodgy location descriptions and the dreaded hidden extras?
The best thing to do? Get in contact with me! I will arrange a time suitable with you to go through your bucket lists, learn about who you are as an individual. I promise you will not get the level of service I provide with any other company because, simply put, I care about all my customers. You are all lovely individual people, not a booking number or a seat filled.

Another success! Once again you delivered a great result. Me and the missus had a wonderful time in Marrakech in October, thank you for sorting it all out for us. It all went smoothly and according to plan. Many thanks, excellent job.

Kirsty, we all had a wonderful time in the USA, thank you for sorting it all out for us. It all went smoothly and according to plan. The best testimonial is that of a returning client, and I am delighted to say Kirsty has already arranged and booked our next holiday. Many thanks, great job.

I'm just back from my second holiday organised by Kirsty and can't imagine ever going anywhere else for my holiday bookings in the future. She invested time and effort in the months beforehand picking the perfect destination from our long list of wants: adults only, small hotel, places to snorkel, definitely not all inclusive, fairly tight budget. I don't think we were the easiest customers as there were a few 'that's lovely, but's from us in the early stages. She persevered with our fussiness and delivered, without a doubt, the nicest hotel we've every had the fortune to stay in. We had a couple of queries while we were away and she was instantly at the end of an email to resolve and reassure so we had complete peace of mind and could relax and enjoy ourselves fully. It shows with the level of service that we received that with Kirsty, it is personal. Can we please discuss 2018's holiday soon?

I have used Kirsty at Travel Counsellors several times now to book my holidays. I always find Kirsty to be very professional and efficient. Kirsty always listens to what I want and managed to find an exact holiday to fit my budget. It now saves me lots of time sitting in a travel agent which sometimes has been a couple of hours, or trawling through the websites, which I hate. I would not hesitate to recommend Kirsty for all your travel needs.

I decided this year, not to have my birthday in the cold and the rain. Back in August I booked with Kirsty to have a hot sunny birthday in Mexico, a place I had never visited before. When I arrived at the hotel, they had decided to give me a room which had no balcony and one small window. After a ten hour flight and a crash on the motorway which had meant I arrived to check-in just half an hour before the flight's time, I was not in the best of moods. I can safely say that Kirsty sorted this out promptly and with complete professionalism. I was booked into the correct room within 24 hours and I felt totally supported and looked after by both Kirsty and Travel Counsellors. I am sure that if I had just gone and booked this over the internet I would have wasted my money and had not so great a holiday. So, if you do want a holiday with damage limitation guaranteed, I would not hesitate to book with Travel Counsellors where the experience I had was most certainly personal.

I want to thank you Kirsty, for arranging such a lovely holiday for Dave and me. We gave you such a vague remit but you came up trumps and picked the perfect hotel, in a perfect location. Even though it wasn't a complicated itinerary and a relatively small job for you, we felt you made every effort to fulfil our wishes. From the outset you kept us well informed, made sure all out paperwork was in order and gave us, as your tag line says, very personal service. The actual travelling was exactly as described, with faultless connections and timings. it was an absolutely worry and stress-free holiday, with all of the little niggles we'd experienced while travelling with one of the big tour operators completely removed. I'd highly recommend Kirsty and Travel Counsellors for anyone thinking of booking a trip. We will certainly be using her for all our future trips.

Kirsty Ricketts has been absolutely fantastic in helping us to plan our travel to Australia. Even with changing requests and internal flights on top of the ones to and from Australia, she found us the most cost-effective option. She was always really professional, approachable and did her up-most to meet our needs - even when we weren't 100% sure what it was exactly that we wanted! I'd recommend her to anyone who is planning a holiday of any sort and who wants someone professional and trustworthy to work with. Thank you very much Kirsty!

Thanks Kirsty for your swift and efficient service which made our booking and travel arrangements smooth and painless. We appreciated the local recommendations and shopping tips to help us get the best from our trip and particularly valued the assurance of Travel Counsellors being available 24hrs. Although we hadn't expected to need this we were impressed with the swift and helpful response when we did make a call in the early hours of the morning.

I'm quite used to finding great deals on the internet but I needed a really specific flight plan that would have taken me hours to find on my own. Kirsty managed not only find a flight plan that met all the requirements but it also came through at a price that I wouldn't have been able to get on my own. Try Kirsty before you book your next holiday, you'll be glad you did.

Kirsty has been amazing - we've booked a couple of trips with her as well as parking and airport lounges. We had a burglary just before our last trip and our car was stolen, but Kirsty managed to organise alternative travel to and from the airport at very short notice! On a previous trip I left my Kindle at the airport and as we were travelling it was difficult for me to contact Amazon to block it, or call the Airport to see if it had been found - Kirsty took on the extra service and the Kindle was safe and sound at lost property on our return. She is truly a TC Star.

Kirsty is so easy to use, one email and she is straight on the job. She keeps me informed as to where we are booking wise etc. Last year she organised a cruise for us and I only mentioned in passing that the second night out was our wedding anniversary. I was completely overwhelmed that she had obviously made a note of this and organised an anniversary cake to be presented to us at the dinner table on that evening! These sort of touches ensure we will not only continue to use Kirsty but have also recommended her to friends and colleagues.

I can thoroughly recommend Kirsty for organising my holiday. I was very busy running my own business and simply didn't have the spare time to spent hours sat at the computer trawling through the internet or walking round town going to all the travel agents. The whole process of booking the holiday was completely stress-free (except when I couldn't find my wife's passport!) and done entirely without her knowledge. I will most definitely been using her services again and have already suggested others use Kirsty to take the strain out of making their holiday arrangements.

I asked Kirsty to look up information for a trip to Canada. She was very efficient. She came back with the information very quickly including much more information than I thought she would. We tweaked it and changed it a little and she happily made all the changes for us. Kirsty even worked out how much it would cost us to get from Toronto to Niagra on public transport should we not get a car, but in the end we did. Kirsty is very efficient and certainly knows her stuff and is definitely better than going to the high street. I like the more personal approach she gives, with high street shops you never get to see the same person. I also like the fact that it didn't take up much of my time! Kirsty gave us excellent service, i would definitely recommend her.

Kirsty organised a 2 week to China and Thailand earlier this year. It was a very complicated trip with multiple stopovers and we changed it frequently before we went. We all know about the Orlando Theme Parks, just take a look at a previous blog of mine if you want a recap. However, there is so much more to see and do when staying near Orlando, without going near a theme park or saying the word Disney. Here are my top 5 things to do: 1. Kissimmee - The Gateway to the Everglades offers incredible outdoor adventures, for the nature lover in all of us. One way to experience Central Florida’s breath-taking views is from above. That's when a zipline safari or a hot air balloon ride is in order....

Boise is a vibrant city with a strong history of gold mining as well as the bogus discovery of masses of iron pyrite - Fool's gold. There is a strong Scandinavian influence here and every July there is a Basque festival celebrating this heritage. Heading north out of Boise, you will follow the Payette river. It's a haven for water sports and wildlife, and you will frequently see kayakers and rafters and...

An early morning saw the start of my journey to the Sunshine Coast. It was an absolutely stunning drive down the mountain from O'Riellys, through the morning mists with sightings of kangaroos, wallaby and even snakes. Australia zoo was the destination for the morning and it was yet another fantastic place. Living only 10 miles from Southampton, too many it probably seems madness that I flew to Barcelona to join a cruise ship. However my reasoning was that Allure of the Seas, currently the largest cruise ship in the world, was spending her summer season in the Mediterranean following her spruce- up in dry dock earlier this year. Approaching Barcelona Cruise Terminal, it is hard not to be taken aback by Allure's size. She takes up two passenger terminals in length and the Norwegian Epic, a large cruise ship in her own right, was docked alongside and it looked...

Barcelona makes a fantastic short break from the UK, or even a day trip for the adventurous! At less than a two hour flight from London you can be in the centre of Barcelona before midday. The airport is airy and spacious and the Barcelona Aerobus is a really cheap and effective way to get into the city centre. It is well signed throughout the airport and there is always a bus sat waiting ready to take you in, with a couple of more popular stops en-route should you not want to go straight into the centre, there is even...

People who are new to cruise often ask me if you can tell the difference between the different ships and cruise liners. It is a fair question and there are some very easy distinctions to make; size of ship, number of passengers, facilities on board and star rating of the cruise liner just to name a few. However how do you tell the difference between two ships build on exactly the same blueprint, for two different cruise lines that are, in fact, very similar star ratings? The Royal Princess from Princess cruises and the Britannia from P&O are two such ships....

It was with intrepidation that I joined the immigration line at JFK Airport in New York. US immigration does not have the best reputation and JFK is up high on the list for long delays. Very much to my surprise I was through immigration and had my bag less than an hour later. P&Os newest ship, the Britannia, launches in March and carries over 3,600 passengers. whereas the largest cruise ship in the world, The Allure of the Seas, can carry a whopping 6,296 passengers when at full capacity! Summer 2013 has seen England’s longest heat wave for over 7 years. So what better time to enjoy a break within the UK? Not only that, a holiday in the UK enabled me to take my dog with me which was a good thing as we had our usual dog sitters coming with us! What better way to start off your summer than a break away at Easter. I took the quick two hour flight to Naples to soak up some of the April sun as well as culture and history in the Naples and Sorrento area.
