Goa is split into two, north and south. It's hard to ignore the striking difference between the regions. The north is a culture rich hub and, in towns like Candolim and Baga, markets and traditional eateries battle for your rupees. Head south to places like Arrosim and Cavelossim, and it's a far sleepier scene of luxury hotels, white sands and turquoise waters.
There is a wide range of accommodation available from 2* bed and breakfast boutique hotels to the more luxurious 5* half board and all inclusive hotels, so something to suit all tastes.
Average temperatures are into the 90's and you get eight hours of sunshine per day...you can't ask for much more than that! There are plenty of restaurants and shops, not forgetting the local market at Anjuna where you can pick up plenty of handcrafted ornaments at amazing prices to take home and treasure. So, whether you are young or young at heart Goa certainly has something for everyone!
Why not combine a tour of India visiting Delhi, Agra and Jaipur to name but a few, then onwards for a totally relaxing week to unwind in Goa!
