As a seasoned traveller and travel enthusiast, I have always wanted to work for the best in the industry. I joined Travel Counsellors in 2006 and haven't looked back since. It has allowed me to give exceptional levels of customer service and provide something for my customers that they cannot get elsewhere. I'm totally committed to my clients and appreciate their referrals, recommendations and loyalty.
I now specialise in the long -haul travel sector. This means I can help any clients looking to experience different cultures and immerse themselves in local cultures. My aim is to help make travel accessible for everyone. However this does not mean I do not help with all other aspects of their travel requirements.
I absolutely love travel and take pride in going the extra mile for my clients to create the perfect itinerary to suit their exact needs. It makes me very proud that so many of my loyal customers make it their business to recommend my service to their friends and family.
My experience has been recognised and earned me a platform on local and national radio and published articles in travel blogs and trade publications.
So, next time you’re wondering what to do with your precious free time, take a moment to ponder the inspirational words of Mohammed 'don’t tell me how educated you are, tell me how much you travelled'.

It was absolutely amazing! Both Bill and I agree that it was the best holiday we have ever had! It was actually like four mini breaks and each was as good as the other. Our flights outbound and inbound were both great, on time great service from the crew and easy as! I'm not a great flyer but I really didn't mind it this time. We flew out on the new Virgin Dreamliner which was so comfortable. My screen didn't work but no problem as they gave me a tablet that had all the entertainment on it, to use. Flying home on the red eye from Boston was a very pleasant experience- just a six hour flight and best of all neither of us have had jet lag! We had a fantastic time in Vegas. The Golden Nugget is a great hotel in a great location. The Commonwealth Hotel in Boston certainly did have the wow factor! What a fantastic experience - we had a mini suite which was simply just stunning! Every single member of staff there were incredible, friendly, helpful service to be admired. There are two restaurants attached to the hotel but independently owned The Eastern Standard and the Island Creek Oyster Bar. Both are absolutely fantastic and cocktails, food and service second to none. Thank you so much for your help in organising our fantastic holiday it is so appreciated.

I was introduced to Marc earlier this year and have used him for both business and personal travel. I have booked a business trip for 8 people to Las Vegas and a personal trip to Australia booked with only a days notice and each time he has been brilliant with fast response and competitive pricing.Whether spending £15,000 or £500, Marc's commitment to outstanding customer service and his knowledge of the travel sector make him the only person I'll call when I need to travel. I highly recommend his services.

Hi Marc, thank you so much for the "Welcome Home" parcel you delivered to our doorstep when my family came back from their skiing holiday in Andorra which you kindly booked for them. Apparently the word from the kids was "best holiday we have ever had" so really appreciate all your hard work in organising this and the generous parcel on their return. Chocolate biscuits vanished in about 5 mins - thanks again The Miller family

Just wanted to say a big thank you Marc for your help with our recent USA road trip. The hotels you sorted were great both in terms of quality and location - being able to walk to the Empire State Building in 5 mins so we were there when it opened not only meant very little wait but also saved us needing to pay for an express ticket. I'll certainly be in touch for my next holiday and will continue to recommend you whenever possible. Cheers, Jules

Just a quick not to say how amazing our trip to Venice was. Everything was amazing from the flights through to the transportation and hotel. I have submitted my hotel review via your online form. I would highly recommend the hotel as the staff and standards were so good. The location was excellent and I am so pleased I didn't stay on the Grand Canal. Amazing place, amazing trip and everything was so easy. Thanks for your help.

I enjoyed the process of booking our holiday with Marc. He's well informed and was able to offer good advice and interesting ideas based on his experiences. He also worked hard on our behalf to get the best possible deals and room upgrades wherever possible. At no time did I feel under pressure to book and the whole process ran smoothly, was enjoyable and ultimately ended up with us booking a holiday which we can't wait to go on!

Marc Fitchett has been really helpful in finding us the perfect honeymoon. He was able to find travel and accommodation that we wanted at a very competitive price. He was also very caring and listened to our needs and wasn't purely motivated by making a sale. He has promised to try his absolute best in making this a holiday of a lifetime and that we are well looked after by the airlines and hotels.

I have used Marc's services several times over the last 18 months and have also referred a number of friends to him; on each occasion Marc has provided an efficient, friendly and most importantly knowledgeable service. Marc has extensive industry knowledge that comes through no matter the length, purpose or location of my trip, he appears to go that extra mile to ensure all my boxes are ticked. I thoroughly recommend Marc Fitchett and look forward to him arranging further holidays for me in the future.

Is it just me, or does it seem like this year has just flown by? Whilst I’m all about living in the moment, it also doesn’t hurt to plan ahead. And, as a huge sports fan myself, one of my favourite ways to pick out potential holiday destinations is to take a little look at what’s happening in the world of sports. So, let’s take a look at the calendar next year, what’s happening and where… X Games – Calgary, Canada January 23-26 Start your year with a bit of adrenaline! Looking for a little travel inspiration this month? Where better to turn than the wonderful world of Hollywood? Over the years, we’ve been treated to some real location-focused classics, set all around the world – here are my top eight favourite destination movies to draw inspiration from: 1. The Grand Budapest Hotel Not only are you escaping to a different place, but a different era; this hilarious yet somewhat bizarre 1930’s set movie is, simply put, great fun – and let’s not downplay the awesome cast of cameos including Bill Murray, Wes Anderson and Jude Law. Whilst set in a fictional country, the...

MSC Bellissima and Lisbon My mum turns 80 years old this year and I wanted to treat her to a cruise. The Bellissima was launching out of Southampton so I decided to have a look at this ‘monster’ of a ship and take my mum, with the bonus of visiting Portugal’s capital for the very first time. We arrived amongst what seemed like the morning after the night before, as MSC had invited and hosted many of the trade’s finest onboard for a celebrity hosted event and party. Holly Willoughby was hosting, and it appears a good night was had by all;...

It seems that more of us are now looking for ‘the next big thing’ when it comes to travel. I’ve noticed a steady climb in requests from my customers who want ‘something different’ when it comes to their annual holiday. If you have watched many of the brilliant travel programmes like Michael Palin’s North Korea series or the ever-popular Joanna Lumley when she visited Japan and The Silk Road, you can see why people are broadening their horizons to far flung places. I’ve received requests this year (2018) for places like Myanmar, Thailand for a family holiday, a cycling group who wanted...

I have always been sceptical of visiting The Maltese islands as I did have preconceived ideas of a place that was quite dull and full of elderly Brits with not a lot going on. When the call came from a couple of friends to join them for a week, I was not only surprised but not too enthusiastic. But after some consideration and with the thought of a new place to visit, it appealed to the historian and keen traveller side of my personality. I should not have been concerned. I loved Malta and the tiny Island of Gozo. I stayed in...

Lapland 23rd -27th December 2016 BA flight with a cheery welcome onboard our 3 hour flight. The captain was joined by his elves to make sure the trip was one of fun and festive spirit. Easy through customs to be met by cold but beautiful conditions. The driver and our host Marcus introduced themselves, and once we boarded we made our way to Luosto. The transfer was about an hour at a very steady pace. On arrival we were given a short tour of the village. The highlight of arrival was a really good show of the Northern Lights, something I've...

Cybelle Brown was our host at Stonefield estate. A beautiful resort in the south of the Island. I stayed in a lovely three bed villa at this property which is one of 18 different rooms. Great views of Petite Piton, all rooms have a private pool. This is a great up and coming resort for those seeking tranquillity and peace and quiet. A major refurb is underway to facilitate guests who are looking for a retreat with health and wellness centre including yoga, Pilates classes etc. The Spa is already up and running! I was lucky to be one of 6 UK Travel Counsellors who flew to Australia and attended the Travel Counsellors annual conference at Hamilton Island. The trip also included time in both Sydney and Singapore. After a long journey from London Heathrow we were greeted at Hamilton Island by our hosts and taken by golf buggy to our hotel - The Reef View Hotel. I have just returned from a wonderful few days in Switzerland as guests of SkyWork airlines and Switzerland Travel Centre. We were flown out of London City airport by SkyWork airlines on a Dornier 328-110 into the Swiss capital. After a quick check in, we were transferred to the gorgeous 5* Hotel Schweizerhof in the heart of the capital Bern. The rooms were decadent in style and space. In May this year (2010) I was fortunate enough to be invited by the Hong Kong tourist board, Jas Anand from Anand Collection and Jet airways to spend four nights in this wonderful part of Asia. The flight out with Jet was a joy, as Yared ( our host ) managed to get us upgraded to business class. The flight via Mumbai was fantastic and the service was excellent. Wow! Wow! Wow! What a place. All the Atolls we flew over in the seaplane were amazing. A great life experience, a fantastic travel experience. We landed by seaplane at Kuredu and were escorted to the reception area for a welcome drink and a quick overview of this fabulous island by our host. We made our way to our water bungalow on the opposite of the island, and were pleasantly surprised by the room and the outdoor shower and toilet. Open to the elements and not embarrassing in the slightest. The complex was relatively big, which I liked. Plenty to do...

We arrived into Colombo via Dubai and the flight was approximately 4 hours from here. We were picked up at the arrivals hall by our driver. We were to drive 2 hours south to the resort of Bentota. Sri Lanka hasn't got the best road network, but to me it just added to the fascination of this small Island. We were delayed by a burning building in Colombo, so we had to literally go round the houses to get back on to the main Colombo -Galle road. We finally arrived at our small hotel in the early hours. We were...

This holiday really did start at the airport. In this case London Heathrow. Our check in with Emirates was easy and quick. We arrived early and got exit seats, enabling more leg room. We travelled to Dubai on a 777 and the journey was 6 hours and 40 minutes. We had excellent flight crew, who looked after us extremely well and presented us with a bottle of champagne for our anniversary and even took a photo as a memento (I had ordered the champagne as a surprise for Laura (my wife). The food was really good. At Dubai we were greeted...

Visiting Cape Town was a fantastic experience with memories that will live with me forever. I met 13 fellow Travel Agents and was lucky enough to be treated to a tour of the Western Cape including Cape Town itself. The only downside was the weather. Cape Town in June was quite wet and not particularly warm, although there were a couple of glorious days. I started my trip in Cape Town at the Mandela Rhodes hotel in the city centre. We visited Table Mountain via the cable car and enjoyed the fantastic panoramic views of the city and harbour. I'm scared...

My wife, 11 year old daughter and myself decided to have our family holiday in St Lucia this year, a Caribbean get away for a second year running. This was my first all inclusive experience, and one I would definitely recommend. We stayed at the The Cocunut Bay Beach Resort & Spa. We all wanted to spend our time together, so we spent the days splashing around in the pool, going round the lazy river or down the watershoots. We all like to read, and this was a perfect week to catch up on some reading. As we stayed on an all...

My wife and I decided to go somewhere for New Year, and escape the grey skies of the UK. We arrived in Miami to glorious sunshine and 2 friends at the airport. We spent the first few days in Miami, staying just off South Beach in a boutique hotel owned by a chain in Miami. The rooms were designed in art deco which is renowned in this area. We had prepaid tickets for the Shore Club, a hotel on south beach for the New Years Eve celebrations. What a night, absolutely fantastic. We partied into the early hours enjoying the moment...
