Previously have just done package holidays or stayed with friends abroad. And with TC we've never had a holiday like it. So many highlights; Yellowstone was amazing, have always wanted to see the geysers and I totally fell in love with bison. Buffalo Bill museum at Cody was so good we spent 2 afternoons there. The drive through Grand Teton was as breathtaking, even saw a pelican! Jackson Sky Tram was great and a few days luxury was a perfect way to end our holiday. We could never have made all the arrangements to stay at all the different places on our own. Nick you were great at making suggestions of where to stay and what we might like to see. Then making the bookings for us made it so much easier. If we do another “made to measure” holiday we will definitely be contacting you first!

We had a great time. The itinerary worked well. The car travel (1,850 miles in 2 weeks) was well spread out and never dominated the holiday. As we avoided packing too much into it, the trip was relaxing, interesting and fun. Despite not having the services of an accompanying tour manager, our pre-tour research meant we did not feel we missed out on any important sights, although we decided to skip Canyonlands which would have been a detour off the longer trip from Bryce to Moab. Both before and during our trip, it felt like we were Nick’s only client, such was his attention to detail and close support! He appears to work 24/7 and I’ve truly never had a travel agent like him! We owe him our sincere thanks.

The overall holiday experience was fabulous. One of the best we have done. We loved the beauty of the forested mountains. The historic mansions of Newport RI. The stunning harbours, boats and beaches of Cape Cod and Martha’s vineyard. We would definitely recommend Nick. Efficient, pleasant, listened to our requirements and tailor made itinerary. Excellent communication and ongoing support and advice up to and throughout holiday. Thanks Nick.

We had a fabulous holiday. Right from the start we were listened to and felt confident that we were going to have a good time. The itinerary was clearly set out for us with everything from flights to hotels to airport transport to car hire organised. We saw some wonderful sights and it seemed as if around every corner that was something new to amaze and astonish us. We came back with some really great memories (and almost 2000 photos!). Yellowstone National Park has to be the highlight. It is a vast space filled with wonders: the landscapes are stupendous – the canyons, the valleys, the geothermal features, the mountains... However the thing that sticks with me is the amazing wildlife: the grizzly bear in the meadow, just getting on with life, completely oblivious to all the people who had stopped beside the road (some distance away!); the mother elk with her baby grazing in the lodge car park when we went out to our car in the morning; the bison plodding along the side of the road taking absolutely no notice of all the fuss it was creating as people passed by in their cars. It was an incredible, awe-inspiring place. From the beginning Nick lived up to the ‘With us, it’s personal’ claim by Travel Counsellors. He listened to our needs, advised us when we asked questions and investigated alternatives when we weren’t sure. The paperwork he provided was exemplary and he even sent us maps and guidebooks to use when we were out there. We really did feel as if he was on the end of the phone and would help if we had a question or a problem. This was really brought home to us when our flight from Jackson Hole to Chicago was redirected to Minneapolis as a result of a storm in Chicago. He had somehow found out about our flight and managed to reconfirm the private transfers at the new arrival time without us even contacting him.

Absolutely brilliant, despite a suitcase saga at the beginning. We loved the road trip aspect as it allows us to see much more of the country. Loved the diversity of the regions. We adore the national parks, even their municipal parks are of a good standard. All the locations of the hotels that we were advised by Nick were perfect for us. We couldn't go back to traditional two weeks in one spot after these two. We loved the way the holiday was constructed, the things we saw on our journeys. It's all about the journey. The scenery, wildlife in abundance, the people you meet not just native but people doing the same type of trip. To see the bears and their cubs was thrilling and to watch Bald Eagles and Osprey diving for fish at the bottom of one of our hotel grounds; you couldn't believe your eyes. To walk in the mountains and forests, look at First Nation people's art and performances and experience the culture overall was stunning. Also not such a long flight to get there. We can't praise Nick highly enough. The amount of time he gave us, before we went; in the planning even helping book ferries, was invaluable as he gave us support with information we were struggling to find. Easily contactable, no matter what time of day. Then when we were on holiday Nick helped try and track our delayed luggage for us and sent us a gorgeous bottle of bubbly to help us feel cheerier once it arrived. Nick helped at check in abroad and got in touch with the hotel to print off our boarding passes for the return flight without us asking him to. It's those little touches that make it extra special. Without Nick's expertise, guidance and support we wouldn't have seen or experienced as much as we did. He has a knack of pointing you in the right direction once he knows the type of thing you are looking for. This is the second time we have used Nick.

Our trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons was great. Compared to other similar holidays we've had the experience was more personal service and it was nice to know that we could contact Nick at any time and get an immediate response. Our highlights were a private wolf watching trip. It was an amazing day watching the wolves in their den with their young and on the other side of the valley with the bison. Also saw many other animals too and learnt a lot about them from our guide. Certainly a day to remember forever. We would recommend Nick as he has knowledge of the area and always gets back immediately to any query.

The holiday was fantastic and suited us down o the ground. By the time we reached the Grand Canyon I think we both felt we were perhaps ‘canyonned’ out, but we would not have wanted to miss any of the sights we saw. We both rated this holiday as one of our top 3. This holiday felt more luxurious than some of our previous adventures. Highlights would have to be Monument valley and playing at being cowboys (well horse riding anyway). Bryce Canyon was stunning and the helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon was awesome. For David the trip to Pima and AMARG at Davis Monthan fulfilled a lifetime dream, but there were so many moments, not least would be ‘standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona’. I would definitely recommend you and your service. From the start your care and consideration has been second to none. Knowing you were there for back up was great. The extra touches, the book and welcome home pack were really appreciated.

Our holiday was amazing! Everything was planned for us and maps were sent. We just had to turn up. It's too hard to pick one or two things as a highlight but the whole of Yellowstone was amazing and we really enjoyed the rodeo at Cody. We would absolutely recommend Nick. He is only an email of phone call away and he responds very quickly and with extreme care. Nick sorted out so much for us like finding out finer details that you just don't know yourself and sending us links to trips and advice and also giving his own advice having travelled in this area himself. He is extremely professional and attentive and I would and have recommended him highly.

Everything went according to plan - the sites we visited were beyond expectations. Travelling from Las Vegas to Denver was a great way of seeing much more of the country. The attention to detail that Nick gave us was exceptional. This was an expensive trip for us and we wanted to get it right - from the first call Nick was on the our wavelength - I’ve not experienced that kind of personal customer service before. The sites of The Grand Canyon and Monument Valley - the road trip giving us the opportunity to see the wide open spaces with the benefit of a lovely car with air conditioning! I would absolutely recommend Nick! From the outset he was interested in our holiday plans, he gave thoughtful, personal views which were extremely useful. His regular connection with us was not obtrusive but really helpful. We never felt pressurised into agreeing on any part of the plan.

We had a fantastic trip, I really enjoyed every part – a true trip of a lifetime. Thanks to Nick’s help and guidance we really made the most of the time we had in the US. My highlights were The Grand Canyon – I have always wanted to visit there and it didn’t disappoint. Absolutely awe inspiring – pictures don’t do it justice, you have to see it to appreciate the sheer scale and beauty. Monument Valley – another incredible place, the views and colours are amazing. I would highly recommend Nick. Not only is he very knowledgeable, he also listens to what you want and tailors your trip to suit your budget. He was incredibly patient with us, changing and suggesting different options to make sure we got the most out of the trip without. It was also comforting to know that if we did come across any problems while we were on holiday, we could always contact Nick for help and advice (thankfully we didn’t need to do this).

I did not have any time to thoroughly research this holiday so I was so pleased that Nick did the research. I was so backed up with work commitments that I didn't even have enough time to check-in online. Nick even kindly checked-in for us. The holiday organised was very good and we really enjoyed doing our road trip in an RV - it was like a turtle travelling with your home on your back! No need to pack or unpack with each new location. The scenery in Jackson Hole was spectacular topped off by our sighting of a bald eagle. Nick was informative, very efficient and a great person to work with. Nick knew I was very busy and he did all he could to facilitate this holiday for us.

We visited Yellowstone & Grand Tetons from Salt Lake City. The scenery in both Yellowstone and Tetons was outstanding. Our overall holiday experience was excellent and our expectations were definitely met. We had a wonderful time. We have been fortunate to have been able to travel all over the world and this holiday compared very well with others that we have taken on a fly/drive basis. We particularly enjoyed a Yellowstone tour and guide that we did from Mammoth Hot Springs. He was able to explain so much about Yellowstone and animal behaviour. He was well equipped with scopes and knew where to get the best animal sightings. I would definitely recommend this on a trip to Yellowstone. We also attended the service at the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City on each Sunday morning that we were in the city. We are not particularly religious but to hear what is said to be the best choir in the world was a wonderful experience which we will never forget. I would definitely recommend Nick at Travel Counsellors. I have never had such attention from a travel agent, even to completing our luggage tags and checking in on our behalf for our return air flight. Prior to booking Nick provided extensive information relating to our proposed holiday and the maps and books that were sent to us were invaluable. I would definitely use his services again and would highly recommend him as a travel agent. He is the best agent that I have ever used.

We had a brilliant holiday experience. We began and ended our amazing journey in San Francisco travelling almost 4,500 miles taking in Monterey, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Joshua Tree , Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde , Arches, Canyonlands , Capital Reef, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Sequoia NP, Yosemite and Napa Valley. The two main highlights have to be: - San Francisco with our visit to Alcatraz, Golden Gate bridge, Pier 39, a walk down Lombard Street, the windiest street ever, and a ride on one of the old trams. - Our visit to the Grand Canyon. We stayed in Kachina Lodge yards from the South Rim so we had terrific views of the canyon on our doorstep and our helicopter trip over the Canyon was awesome. We would most certainly recommend Nick. This is the second trip he has organised for us and it met all our expectations. When making our original plans he provided us with an extensive itinerary with details of each hotel and a picture plan of the route giving distances between each location we wanted to visit. Based on that information we were able to make positive decisions about our holiday to fit in everything that we wanted to see. Nick has always gone the extra mile to help us. A few examples of this are: - Because I had a problem with adjusting the seat on our hire car last year Nick arranged for me to visit a local garage here in the UK to try out the driving position and seat before deciding which car to hire this time round. - While we were on our holiday he found out that the coast road from San Francisco had be been closed due to roadworks he immediately rang us and asked if we needed help negotiating a way round although he had already provided us with a road map of the area before we left the UK. - He also offered to check us in for our return flights

It was great and well organised and we had every faith in the itinerary Nick made for us, which ran smoothly with a few minor hiccups along the way which you managed to sort out for us which was excellent. I’ve never had a holiday as long as that. It was good in comparison and met my expectations. There were so many highlights. Utah was my favourite part because there was so much to do and it was like nothing you’ve seen before. Really liked Capitol Reef as it was much quieter and we were so close to it, we really enjoyed that and will remember going star gazing, which was brilliant. We did lots of hiking and everyone’s told us we have lost weight once we got back which we were surprised at as I don’t think anyone’s lost weight coming back from America. We loved the horse riding trek which was definitely a highlight and it was so good you were able to organise that for us. We saw all of Las Vegas and really glad we've done it. All the hotels were amazing. I will always remember driving towards Las Vegas, you're just driving for hours through dessert and it suddenly pops up out of nowhere. New York highlights were a Broadway show, Central Park, Empire State building and Time Square. We visited MoMA which was amazing to see all best artwork in the world, we were just not expecting it, every room we went into there was another masterpiece. Our hotel was under a mile from the subway station and we saw how the New Yorkers live and commute. Nick did everything we asked and did it within the budget we requested. He found us nice hotels to stay in and you took us to places we hadn't thought of ourselves. Thank you so much for all your help, I would definitely recommend you to anyone doing a similar trip!

The holiday was fantastic. We have previously been to the National Parks in-between the West Coast and Las Vegas and had always wanted to visit Yellowstone as it is a Park where humans and animals can go anywhere in it! Doing a trip on Snake River in a zodiac in Jackson was excellent (not white water rafting but floating with the fast flowing river ). The landscape in the Park is superb and we were pleased to see all the Animals we wanted to. We are so grateful for all your hard work in arranging the trip - it fitted in with our plans perfectly.

We really appreciated everything you did for us from the first consultation to the end package. The location of the hotels were perfect with regards to ease of access to parks, airports and restaurants. Every time we stopped at a hotel we said, "Thank You Nick." It is incredibly reassuring to have a point of contact while travelling. Travelling with Delta/KLM was a new experience, the timing of transfers was good, the room on the aircraft was more comfortable than we had experienced before, airport assistance was excellent. We were so impressed by all the parks, their visitor experience was organised, accessible for all levels of walker, the information available and the conservation awareness was impressive. The volunteers were passionate about their park and helpful. The trails that we did were well marked and there were a couple of exceptional one's that my brother and I did that we will never forget. The National Geographic Book you sent us was extremely helpful which we referred to it every day. We followed many of the suggested routes and we visited lots of the places of interest. Our grateful thanks for all your hard work and consideration.

The holiday was amazing .. really good! I've done a lot of travelling in my time but Yellowstone was awesome seeing the animals and geysers really made it. The highlights from our trip were seeing bears with their Cubs, bison roaming round the scenery and old faithful geyser erupt will always be a great memory. We would definitely recommend Nick. The service was great really good having just one person to deal with is much better. Nick did everything for us very professionally and always pleasant to deal with. Also good to know you are there while we travel in case anything changed.

It was a fantastic! The scenery was breathtaking, aw-inspiring - absolutely stunning! This road trip is a must for anyone who loves the outdoors and a bit of adventure. You never got bored of driving as there were amazing canyons of all colours, wildlife, beautiful views and national parks at every corner. It is hard to describe the beauty and in fact the photos don't give the real thing justice. The human eye captures far more than any lens. It is a trip my children and I will remember forever! The children all thought it was highly exciting and adventurous. We went trekking up ridiculously steep mountains, we rode with the cowboys, we went swimming in the rivers at the bottom of massive and impressive canyons, we saw a rodeo, we went white water rafting and we stood at the edge of canyons where your only thoughts are that you are on top of the world! This was an unforgettable trip! I think my favourite was Zion National Park with its Emerald pools, waterfalls, tall mountains and the ranch where we stayed with its log cabins, horses and buffaloes! I would absolutely recommend Nick without hesitation and I have already done so! Our whole trip was incredibly well organised. I had the holiday plan all set up for me on the cloud so I could access it at any time. I knew exactly how many miles and how long it would take us from one leg of our trip to the next as well as advice as to what to see en route! We also got an experience brochure with all the activities imaginable. Nick has been incredibly helpful along the entire process and very patient with all our requests! Even got an email during our trip to see if everything was going according to plan. A very personable and top rated service. I definitely give it a five out of five! Thank you for everything…

We had a really great trip, everything was just perfect. We have not done anything quite like this before so a very memorable trip. The amazing features from our Yellowstone trip were the geysers, the various rock formations, the bubbling pools, the scenery, the Canyon on Yellowstone, staying in Old Faithful Inn - all very memorable. A close encounter with a bear is something we will never forget - only about 5 ft away from us! - and the very interesting ranger led walks and talks all gave us an interesting and comprehensive understanding of the park. We would definitely recommend Nick, from first contact to follow up on return, nothing was too much trouble for him, lots of great ideas and everything worked perfectly. Thanks again Nick

Overall, our holiday was amazing. We loved every minute of it and we really enjoyed the whole experience. From researching to booking, travelling enjoying ourselves to coming back, we were well supported and everything was taken care of for us by Nick – sometimes, even ahead of us when it came to checking us in for our internal flights for instance. Nick was extremely helpful and had an excellent knowledge of the area. His advice was always good and appreciated. All the hotels booked were very good and sometimes even exceeded our expectations. The itinerary was perfect and well thought-through. Simply, a great holiday! Our highlights were staying in Yellowstone NP to see Old Faithful erupt at night and getting up at the crack of dawn to see all the steam everywhere and doing a Photo Safari with a professional photographer ranger giving advice on taking photos. Hiking in Glacier NP and also seeing a cub grizzly play on a log as we drove past him. The views in each NP too (Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Two Medicine in Glacier for instance) and the drive to Cody were also stunning. Thanks again for your help in organising a great holiday.

We saw breath taking scenery, met some lovely people, stayed in great hotels and saw an amazing amount of animals and birds. Glad we chose to go in the Fall to avoid huge crowds and to take advantage of the changing colours of the landscape. All the places we visited were amazing from the Rocky Mountain National Park, the Windcave, Mount Rushmore, Badlands, Devil Tower ,Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Salt Lake City but seeing the wildlife in the Parks has to be the highlight. Seeing the elk at Mammouth Hot Springs outside our cabin and on the forecourt of the hotel with the stag rounding up his harem and, in other parts of the Parks, the longhorn sheep, Mule deer, moose, a black bear with two cubs and a grissly bear was wonderful not forgetting all the geysers and ‘Old Faithful’. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nick. From the start of planning our holiday he took into account our wishes and changed our plan more than once. Once we decided our route he provided valued information about the places we would visit highlighting the activities we expressed an interest in. He provided us with all the necessary paperwork for flights, car hire and hotels to enable us to have a seamless journey and even offered to check in at the airports for our outward and return flights. For us the most helpful information he provided was a link to an app which we used daily to help us navigate Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. It tracked our position, provided a commentary and pointed out vantage points to observe places of interest making sure we did not miss anything. If we did not want to stop we just carried on to the next point. Absolutely amazing. We had a fantastic holiday thanks to Nick.

It was the one of the best holidays we have ever had, such diversity of landscapes. The feel of driving through the National parks is much better than flying from state to state. We didn't want it to end. Each state is so different, from wilderness to desert to mountains. The people are the friendliest ever and the wildlife was fantastic. We loved Yellowstone and Tetons and we saw black and grizzly bears, elk, bison, wolves, coyote, moose, eagles and much more. The roads are really easy to get around; very well signposted- their mountain roads are better maintained than ours! Really enjoyed the cities as well. We enjoyed Chicago more than we thought we would, lovely walk by Lake Michigan and the city is easy to get around. Salt Lake City compact and again easy to get around - the fact USA is built using blocks makes reading a city map easy. Las Vegas - well what can I say. We have been before and could not wait to leave!! San Francisco ace, lovely city. Great walking city even up and down those hills. Gorgeous chocolate and ice cream at Ghirardelli's and gorgeous clam chouder at the piers. Thank you so much for helping us arrange this fantastic holiday. It was way better than we could have ever imagined. You took a lot of fuss out of the planning which was good and didn't get fed up when we changed our minds constantly. This made sure it was spot on. You were really good to deal with and answered us whatever time of day. Will use you again and recommend you and in fact I have already to a work colleague.

We really enjoyed out Alaska trip that Nick organised for us. The main highlights were: - The ferry/mini cruise from Valdez to Whittier enhanced by the beautiful weather we enjoyed. - The amazing mountain-scapes - Seeing a brown bear cross the road in front of our car about a mile out of town. - The three museums we visited were particularly interesting and enjoyable. - We hadn’t expected the lush vegetation in the forests and the beautiful wild flowers in the alpine meadows that we hiked up to. - Whilst we drove 1,482 miles it was pleasurable as the roads were good and largely traffic free for mile upon mile. - The views from our room and the dining room at the Lands End in Homer were AMAZING. This is the second time we have used Nick. Again, we found his attention to detail exemplary and his support first class. We find him a pleasure to work with and would not hesitate to recommend him.

The holiday was wonderful! I'll remember it forever! Our American road trip was a busy schedule but we manged to see so much in our two weeks. The route Nick planned for us worked perfectly. This was our first road trip (my fist time in America) so not able to compare it to any others. but it would take some beating! The highlights were flying over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter, sitting on our veranda at our really lovely cabin in Monument Valley with the view of the Monuments (TOP location!), the waterfalls at Yosemite were breathtaking and Zion National Park - so so beautiful! I would certainly recommend Nick. He offered assistance without being pushy and supplied me with the accreditation and information I requested. He helped us plan our road trip, the route, hotels and places to visit. Supplied a very useful map (could not have manged without it!) and a guide book. He even got our last hotel to printout our boarding passes for us. All the hotels had fabulous locations, central to where we were staying which we would not have known or had the knowledge to know this and book. Thank you Nick for all your help in making our holiday wonderful!

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were looking to piece together a bespoke driving holiday with lots of stops, and Nick was able to make recommendations and all flight, hotel, car and transfer bookings for us, which would have taken us a very long time. The holiday itself was superb - everything went smoothly, the hotels were all very good and in great locations, and the scenery was spectacular. I have never put together such a complex itinerary, so that was different, but it was much easier than I had expected thanks to Nick. It took the stress out of the holiday to know that wherever you went, accommodation (and transport, where needed) was already sorted out. The holiday itself was a "trip of a lifetime". Highlights included stunning helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, speedboat on Lake Powell, a trip to Secret Canyon was beautiful, a fantastic (if a little frightening) trail in Zion National Park and had a great day of horse-riding just outside the park. Jackson, Wyoming and the Tetons were beautiful, and we enjoyed some white-water rafting and an evening safari there. Yellowstone was also lovely, with beautiful and varied scenery and lots of wildlife (including bison, deer, elk, bears and wolves). On the way back New York was a great and very different experience and a nice way to satisfy teenagers looking for a bit of city life. The highlights there were probably the Empire State and watching The Book of Mormon on Broadway. We would absolutely recommend Nick. He gave great advice, accommodated all our requests, and kept in touch leading up to, during and after the holiday to make sure everything was OK. And he went well beyond the call of duty afterwards to help us track down a bag we had lost on the way home. He was without question the most helpful travel expert/agent I have ever come across.

Holiday was excellent, and your organisation superb. Your selection of car hire company was inspired as it was dark when we got to Jackson airport and Hertz, Avis and Budget all had their car hire facilities at the airport - nine miles from Jackson - whereas Alamo had theirs in Jackson and provided a free transfer shuttle so that on taking the car we were less than 1/2 mile from the hotel. Teton has spectacular views and is some 100 miles from Yellowstone, however that road was closed through forest fire and a 125 mile detour on transfer to Yellowstone over Teton Pass which was quite exciting - much more enjoyable than the routine highway. We had an excellent time and we did see a Beaver in the River, a moose grazing in the river and a black bear nipped across the road in front of us at Glacier.
