Just wanted to say thank you for all the travel arrangements you put into operation for our holiday in the Philippines & Dubai. The hotels were well located and comfortable. It was well worth paying the extra for the two seats together on the plane with Emirates Airlines. It was good to know you were on hand if we had had a problem and would not hesitate in recommending your service to anyone thinking of travelling either long or short haul. Will definitely use your service again in the future.

Excellent service, Paul is most helpful and very pleasant. Came back quickly with a quote for exactly what we wanted for our trip to Vietnam, and on agreement and payment documents followed immediately. If the holiday is as good as it sounds will definitely use Paul again

Paul, thank you for arranging our family holiday to Spain. The flights and transfers worked perfectly and the hotel was fantastic. Service at the hotel was the best we have ever experienced. The saving you were able to provide gave us the ability to afford a lovely break.

Paul was fantastic at arranging our trip to Cambodia. From advising what to see and do based on his own travel experience to finalising our itinerary, he took care of us at every step. Paul even made sure we had the right visas and prepared our documents before we left. A truly 5* service. Thank you Paul!

Paul, you did a brilliant job finding that business class fare to Sydney; what tremendous value from the wide range of options you offered, and it meets our requirements perfectly. Thanks also for the suggestion of a beach holiday in the Philippines on the way back. We would never have thought of that; appreciate your first-hand experience. Really looking forward to this and future trips.

I rarely send feedback, but having been recommended Paul by a colleague - I have just booked with Paul for a third time - I wanted to share want a great experience I had with him. Paul is a breath of fresh air. Enthusiastic about travel and so diligent about my wants and needs. He also had first hand experience of the places I was interested in visiting, and so able to make suggestions about my trips, to maximise my stay at each location. Could not recommend Paul highly enough. Thank you

I just wanted to share how much we enjoy dealing with Paul Lamb at Travel Counsellors. A friend recommended him and we are so glad we made the switch from our regular travel agent. The service was much more personal, he is customer focused, cheerful and always willing to help you find the best travel options armed with a ‘how might we’ attitude. We had the most idyllic holiday in the Seychelles in April –4 nights at the Constance Lemuria on the island of Praslin, followed by 3 nights at the Constance Ephelia in Mahé - a little slice of paradise. Both resorts were relaxed yet high-end with exquisite service but not over the top, all thanks to Paul’s expert advice!

Paul was very helpful, I needed some advice on an area and hotel. Paul gave me a few options and prices to choose from and some guidance on what may be good. I would be happy to recommend Paul.

With no direct flights operating from the UK to Cambodia we flew with Malaysian Airlines via Kuala Lumpur. Our first stop is Siem Reap to visit the temples of Angkor. We stayed at the lovely and very stylish Shinta Mani Angkor Hotel. Located in central Siem Reap only 200m from the river and just a 7km drive from Angkor Wat. Over 2 days we explored with our driver and guide the architectural masterpiece Angkor Wat (the world’s largest sacred building), Prasat Bayon, Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of The Leper King. The complex is vast and wished we had longer...

With over 1000 coral islands in 26 atolls and over 100 hotels/resorts to choose from, The Maldives has something for everyone that wants to experience these beautiful islands. I have been lucky enough to visit here four times over the years, and still plan to visit again and again but listed below are the hotels I have enjoyed. Four Seasons Kura Huraa Just a short 25-minute speed boat ride from the main island, this is beyond 5 star luxury. Plenty of space and comfort is the order of the day here. The Beach Bungalow pool villa we stayed in was 700sq ft...

Singapore is one of my favourite cities to travel to. With so many great hotels to choose from I've been lucky to have stayed at the Shangri-La on Orchard Road, The Park Hotel, The Fairmont, Mandarin Oriental and the iconic Marina Bay Sands (M.B.S.) However, if you do want to visit this melting pot of a place and can only do it once then do it over the F1 Singapore night Grand Prix! You will find the whole country in party mode and there is a real feel-good buzz around everywhere you go. Any trip here you will have to included travelling...

For those who would like to travel to the United Arab Emirates but find the prices of Dubai and Abu Dhabi too high, I can recommend travelling on to Ras Al Khaimah, just a 90-minute drive from Dubai airport. We stayed for 5 nights at the Hilton Al Harma resort on an all-inclusive basis. As you drive up to this hotel passing the nearby golf course, the first thing that strikes you is the hotel is low rise and only 2 stories high and most rooms are in separate blocks from the main hotel dotted around the grounds. We booked the...

Beautiful scenery and stunning architecture the capital of Hungary, Budapest has it all and to make it even better, one weekend every year it hosts the Formula 1 Grand Prix motor racing event. All just a 2hr 30min flight away this is a great long weekend destination even if the racing is not on. We stayed for five nights at the 4-star Hotel President. A great hotel with a lovely roof top bar/restaurant and situated a few blocks from the River Danube and The Parliament Buildings. Every city I visit, one of the first things I like to do is jump on...

With over 7,000 islands it can be hard to know where to start when looking at a holiday to the Philippines. We opted for travelling with Singapore Airlines (my favourite airline) direct into Singapore for a few days before heading onward to the island of Cebu. Cebu has some stunning resorts such as The Shangri-La but we were looking for something smaller and more remote. Therefore, from Cebu we took a two-hour ferry to Bohol island before transferring on to the island of Panglao. It must be said that from the airport through the ports is very hectic and we were pleased...

The Annapurna Circuit Heading to the Himalayas is on a list for many people but many treks can seem very daunting. The Annapurna Circuit can take you around this stunning part of the world for three weeks. However, if like me that sounds too much, you can just enjoy a small part of this trail without the highest level of fitness. With all tours through Nepal you start in Kathmandu. A busy city where it seems everyone is either on its way to the mountains or just returning. My first morning was an early rise for a scenic flight above the clouds...

I am often asked what my best trip is and without fail it must be seeing the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. I can truly say that of all the trips I have been lucky to go on there are few experiences that compare to spending time with mountain gorillas. Rwanda is a land locked country in Central East Africa, bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and D.C. Congo. Just saying it sounds like an epic adventure! The day starts early with a 7am briefing at the park headquarters. Here you meet the rangers who will look after you as you trek up...
