Corroboree West, Brisbane, Australia

Tourism Australia invited 100 top Aussie specialists from the UK along with another 200 from around the world to meet with over 120 of Australia's best suppliers. The aim was to improve our knowledge and build personal relationships, so we can promote and sell this amazing country.

After three days of intensive training and networking, we were then split into smaller groups to get first-hand knowledge of a specific area.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to sample the very best of Queensland with a trip up to the Whitsunday Islands and Brisbane. Getting 300 Aussie Specialists out to the Gold Coast is no easy matter but we were flown from all over the world by Singapore Airlines.

I flew out from Manchester to Brisbane with a two-hour stopover in Singapore. The first leg was on the new Singapore Airlines A350 which was amazing. Great seat pitch and touch screen inflight entertainment and each ergonomically designed seat has an adjustable headrest, Wi-Fi access, power outlet and USB point. The crew were exceptional and couldn't do enough for everyone and the food was some of the best airline food I have ever had.

Our stopover at Singapore airport was a breeze. Just enough time to have a browse around the shops, take a stroll around the butterfly garden and get a drink. Had we had more time, we could have changed terminals and used the roof top swimming pool at Terminal 1 for a small fee.

We travelled onwards on a Singapore Airlines 777 and the great service and wonderful food continued. The crew never stopped!

Please check out my other blogs for more info on the amazing places we visited on this trip!

TOP TIP: If you are transiting through Singapore Changi Airport on your outbound and return journey, you can claim a complimentary $20 Singapore dollar voucher that you can use in the airport for shopping, refreshments or more. I used my voucher on my return leg to access the Terminal 3 lounge where I had a hot shower. You can spend up to two hours in the lounge with complimentary Wi-Fi, food and drinks.

There are lots of ways to get to Australia and I can highly recommend Singapore Airlines, or I can tailor-make your trip using the airlines that best fit your dates, itinerary and budget.
