Hi, my name is Sharon, welcome to my page and thank you for visiting.
I am an independent travel consultant based in Wiltshire, serving clients throughout the West Country and wider UK.
I was born in the beautiful city of Bath, grew up in rural Somerset and now live on the outskirts of Chippenham with my partner, having moved here a few years ago. We love being based on the edge of the Cotswolds in glorious countryside with such iconic sightseeing right on our doorstep.
Prior to becoming a Travel Counsellor I was an Executive Assistant, organising travel for business executives, and I have an extensive customer service background. With that experience and with travel as my passion, becoming a Travel Counsellor was the perfect choice. Attention to detail, great customer service and customer satisfaction are my focus and my aim. The smallest of details can make the difference in creating a great experience, even simple knowledge of the best seat choices on flights, or ensuring access needs are met can make all the difference, and adding extras like celebration surprises, restaurant bookings, excursions etc, have endless options and are all possible to give memories that will last a lifetime.
I have travelled widely in the UK, and to the European destinations of Ireland, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Italy, Monaco and the Greek islands of Crete, Corfu and Kos. I have also travelled to several destinations within USA, to Jamaica, further afield to touring in Cambodia, Vietnam, and Nepal and more recently to the luxurious Maldives. I have organised group motorsports and sightseeing holidays to Barcelona and Monaco, family sun and UK holidays, Disney experiences in both France and USA, as well as city breaks, romantic mini-breaks, walking holidays in Europe, all-inclusive couples’ holidays, and adventure tours in Asia.
There’s a quote by Anita Desai that says “wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow”, and I believe that if the experiences you have and the memories you make when you travel are positive, fulfilling and happy ones, then they enrich your life and your well-being and become part of the person you are. To enable others to have those experiences, and to help plan and map out their travel ambitions is such a pleasure, and to be chosen to be your personal Travel Counsellor is a complete privilege.
Whatever your holiday needs I'm here to help you, so please either fill in and send the form below or simply give me a call and I can get things started for you:-
I absolutely live and breathe travel and I love to write about my experiences! Please take a look through my posts - you might find your own holiday inspiration.

Our trip to Nepal was due to my partner Derek’s association with the Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment (QOGLR). Part of his army career he served as Officer Commanding of a Gurkha squadron, and the trip was for the Regiment’s 60th Anniversary to take us on welfare visits, as well as seeing the sights and how Nepal was recovering from the 2015 earthquake. Getting a glimpse of the Himalayas on the flight approach into Kathmandu is truly awe inspiring and was a taste of what the following two weeks would bring. Kathmandu reminded me of the cities in Cambodia and Vietnam...

We flew from Siem Reap following our tour of Cambodia into Da Nang and travelled down the coast to Hoi An, where our hotel, the Palm Garden Resort, is set on its own private stretch of beach. We were upgraded on arrival, and given the most gorgeous private beach bungalow with the beach bar and a restaurant close by. With the beach stretching away to either side of us as far as you could see, and a pool and a spa, it was going to be exactly the rest and relaxation needed after tearing around sightseeing the previous four days,...

For many years I wanted to visit Cambodia, and Angkor Wat, the capital of the Khmer empire, was what piqued my interest in the country. Later when the Tomb Raider film showed the other temples in that area, it became number one on my list of iconic places to visit. We added Vietnam for our second week and the two destinations gave us a trip of a lifetime filled with fantastic memories. We travelled late August/early September. We flew into Phnom Penh at night, accompanied by impressive thunderstorms, which was quite the experience. We were met by Thea, our lovely guide...

Having had a busy start to our trip further south in Cambodia, we started the next day with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel followed by a drive out to see Spean Praptos bridge near Kampong Kdei. Spean Praptos Bridge is more than 1,000 years old and once was the longest corbeled stone-arch bridge in the world, with its more than twenty narrow arches. The bridge was built in the 12th century and is one of few remaining bridges to have survived from the Khmer Empire to the modern day. We then headed on to Kampong Kleang floating village where a...
