Hi I’m Simon, also known as ‘TK’, a very obvious nikname. I am a Travel Counsellor, and after a life of living in many towns and countries, I now live in a small West Yorkshire village located between Pontefract and Wakefield. When time and weather allow, I enjoy a ride-out on my motorbike through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
My passion for travel stems from my work which has always had a significant travel element, and I have lived in Europe, Scandinavia and Hong Kong with shorter stays stretching all the way from Canada, through the Balkans to the Middle East. A regular and enjoyable feature of my life has always been helping friends and family organise their travel, and now I am building a travel business doing the very thing that I am passionate about, travelling.
I chose to join Travel Counsellors because of their ethos of personal service and the genuine care that is taken in arranging all aspects of our clients individual travel arrangements. For me, this is the absolute standout feature of the business, and the past couple of years has shown just how important it can be to have the right travel professional when you need them. With a passion for food, culture and architecture, I enjoy discovering some of the less well known destinations, whether by plane, train, hire car or motorbike. So, if you fancy white water rafting in Bosnia, ice fishing in Finland, camping under the stars in Namibia, or perhaps trying some street food in Oaxaca on your way to dive in Belize, then please give me a shout and we can make it happen.
