Anniversary Day and Spa treat in Manchester

Working from an office at home - can be very challenging, but as a Travel Counsellor we have not only the support 24/7 cover at Head office in Manchester, but 1500+ colleagues around the globe.

It's a very unique ethos - we are not in competition with one another but work as a team. I'm very fortunate to have many colleagues who help and support my business every day - and never feel like I'm working alone.

One particular group of friends have our own little chat group - supporting one another in whatever way we can -practical work advice as well as personal chat, there's not a day goes by we don't keep in touch. We love a get-together and other than the Travel Counsellors Annual Conference held in November every year, we don't get together too often as we're not all local to one another. We all celebrate our work anniversary in different months of the year, but this year we decided to all get together in Manchester and go for the same one. Anniversary Day at Venus Head office is a celebration of our business, we get together with other TC's, as well as head office staff and Directors. We are in the audience of our weekly show TCTV, as well as hearing all the latest developments in the company to help grow our business from IT to Marketing, Sales and Commercial classes.

Before we headed into Venus, we met up at the McDonald hotel in Manchester City Centre, at one of their spa breaks. I can seriously recommend this for a girly gathering. The hotel didn't have a pool - but having a 25 min treatment of a facial or a massage - then total relaxation followed by a 2 course meal and overnight stay, was a wonderful way for us all to spend a few hours together away from the office for a special treat and you can see here the lovely team you might speak to one day when I'm away from the office.
