The most luxurious ship ever built

At Travel Counsellors annual conference I was the lucky winner of a place on board the most luxurious ship ever built along with my husband Ken. We feel so privileged to have had this experience and having recently watched back the Channel 5 documentary of the making of the ship, I actually shed a tear.

I've wrote this poem which hopefully sums it up and have taken a few snaps around the ship. I've been fortunate to sail on many cruise lines but this far surpassed all our expectations.

The most luxurious ship ever built, that much we knew But still took our breath away as she came into view Over to Civitavecchia as we flew into Rome Regent Seven Seas Explorer, for the next six nights would be home You could not be wowed as you were welcomed on board As her sheer magnificence could not be ignored The decor simply awesome it takes your breath away Much more then we could have imagined I really must say The opulence of Explorer, both inside and out Is complete unrivalled of that I've no doubt Once shown to our suite, the amazement didn't ease, Welcome on the bed and champagne if you please Spacious surroundings and magnificent decor An enormous comfy bed, who could possibly need more? A stunning marble bathroom, walk in wardrobe I could settle here nicely to sail around the globe Dining options were astounding, no matter which you chose From Pacific Rim, prime 7, or the fabulous Compass Rose Opening the doors where a grand dining room awaits With sterling silver cutlery and Versace plates The food was outstanding, the choices were vast As the food was placed in front of you, we were always aghast Whole experience sensational and the service divine Not to mention the sommelier bringing fine wine Then relax in the lounges or pop to see a show Singers to entertain you wherever you go Friendly crew to serve you, as you set off to sail And bring from the bar your favourite cocktail The service by all staff was second to none The memories of this trip will never be gone A million “thank you’s” for allowing us this very special trip On Regent Seven Seas Explorer the world’s most luxurious ship
