How lucky am I?

Having received an invite to Cunard's 175th Concert at the Anglican Cathedral in Liverpool on the 4th July 2015 held on the anniversary of the first Cunard transatlantic crossing in 1840.

The Cathedral was packed to the rafters, with Cunard guests, celebrities and descendants of founder Samuel Cunard.

We were taken on Cunard's journey with readings from many recognisable faces, including stars from Coronation Street, John Prescott, David Steel, BBC correspondents Jennie Bond and Michael Buerk, Carol Thatcher, Simon Weston and the great-granddaughters of Carpathia Captain Arthur Rostron.

Hearing the wonderful music from The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir, with the Cathedral Choir, Band of the Welsh Guards and soloists Laura Wright, Jenny Williams and Jon Christos. Christos bought the journey to life.

The highlight of event was a rousing rendition of Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.... some brilliant flag waving......

A brilliant event. Makes me want to be a Cunarder even more....
