Celebrity Beyond Inaugural Sailing

To win a place on Celebrity Beyond was so exciting . I have cruised on the Reflection, Equinox and Silhouette so I was just so excited to see what an 'Edge' class ship would be like . On this sailing it had lots of different nationalities on board from all the ports she would sail into , as well as journalists, influencers and tour operators We arrived at Southampton early so we could make the most of our 2 night trip . We were in a E2 Infinite balcony cabin which was very techie as we could open the glass on the balcony with the touch of a button . The cabins were larger than normal with the balcony extending to be part of the room There was ample space for clothes though with only 2 days worth with us we didnt need it ! Safe , hairdryer , and 3 pin plug sockets as well as sockets for our phone chargers So we went off exploring heading for lunch at the Grill . I have often mentioned before how much I love celebrity burgers ..and then joined our colleagues at the Rooftop Garden for a few drinks before exploring the ship. This is a new feature on pool deck and there is a huge screen to watch sports or movies with lovely alcoves to sit with friends There is also a restaurant the Rooftop Garden Grill which was fully booked so we didnt get chance to eat here ( you pay extra for this) The food was typical American BBQ it looked delicious . Two days isnt a long time to get around and see everything . There is art work everywhere ( even in the public toilets) . But did my best . The popular Sunset Bar has been extended , and there is much better use of space with lots more eateries being introduced . The main dining option has been split into 4 areas Cyprus , Normandie , Tuscany and Continental and has a small restaurant feel about it rather than a grand dining hall . The food was exceptional lobster , beef wellington and snails graced the menu . plus mouth watering desserts . The portion sizes were small but just right We had a coffee and cake in Cafe Bacio in the lobby and took in the beautiful surroundings . The Grand Plaza over 3 floors is where you find the Martini BAR The focal point of the ship in the evening was buzzing , We came across Eden which is a new concept which is also 3 stories and is really light due to the glass where you can look out to sea that transforms to an entertainment venue in the evening . The entertainment was world class we saw 2 shows and they were both superb with dancers , acrobats and special effects it was mesmerising

This ship has made me want to go back and spend more time on board - it was really classy without being stuffy . Great food entertainments and good sized cabins attentive staff All inclusive now too so you don't have to worry about gratuities or what your bar bill will be
