Cruise to Nowhere

The cruise to nowhere - with Princess cruises from Southampton Seactaions in 2021 are al the rage - I was booking lots of customers so thought I would go myself They were incredible value and all inclusive .So silver service dining and lots of cocktails with the option of getting dressed up in the evening

If you are double vaxxed then only an antigen test on arrival at the port .

I went with my friend Sue who also works in travel and was twiddling her fingers as she was unable to work and had never been on a large cruise ship Regal Princess is one of the newer ships . It would only be about a third full so plenty of space on board and a chance for me to take a look around as well as have a bit of a break

Before I went on this cruise I was cracking up . All the government announcements were taking their toll and there wasnt a day when i just wanted to cry so I needed a break! This did me the world of good. Lots of sea air , good food and too many cocktails what isn't there to like.

The ship is really pristine and beautiful. Spotlessly clean and shiney . Lots of bars with live music to enjoy . Plus a nightclub ( if you can last out that long) It was a comedy cruise when we went which had a different comedian on in the evening. There was also a guest speaker Judge Rinder who was excellent. We had an afternoon show with dancers and one evening show over the 3 nights. There were quizzes and competitions late afternoon to join in with though the music quiz as way before my time !. A gym and spa too plus a sports deck for the active. Plus the casino was operating as well

When we arrived we were tested at the port in a 'drive in' and then waited 30 mins for the results before boarding and picking up our medalions. I forgot my phone charger so went immediatley to the shop to purchase one .You pay on baord with the medallion . The medallion also opens your cabin door too. The cabin were spacious and had a small balcony and plenty of cupboard space . With a big TV .

They did movies under the stars where there was a big screen on pool deck to watch some of the latest films. They also did this during the day . The weather was nice on our last day where we could soak up the rays on deck . Plenty of food venues we frequented Alfredo pizzeria for lunch for gourmet pizzas , did afternoon tea one afternoon and had the choice of 2 different restaurants in tHE evening with 'dine my way' where we could choose our time. the restaurant opened at 5pm and you could book slots up to 9pm . . There was a buffet with plenty of choice , grill on deck for snacks plus the international cafe too. So lots of choice .

2 days wasnt a lot of time and it was over before it begun . We had a lovely time just chilling out and having more than a few drinks . For me it was good to see Medallion class and how it worked also how a covid cruise operated .

Masks had to be worn when not eat and drinking which was odd in the theatre especially watching comedians . The lack of itineray didnt bother us

Medallion Class The free internet wasnt very good so that was disapointing as I had been planning to do live videos from the ship and my phone kept crashing . The internet is needed to use the app as everything is on the app on this ship as it is medallion class. There were a few teething problems with the app which have now been sorted I am glad to say before boarding you can booking dining, pay for drinks and even play the casino on the app. You can pay for enhanced internet and if you are planning to use your phone alot it might be worth taking out
