Dreams of Mexico
I have no sense of direction and after a 10-hour flight I was amazed how easy it was to find my room. Especially as this is a larger hotel than I would normally stay with 400+ rooms I am more of a 'boutique' kind of girl.
The hotel was 90% occupied so I was expecting crowds, noise and mayhem but it was relatively calm. The room exceeded my expectations it was spacious despite two large queen beds which would normally drown a room. Through the curtains I could see the ocean and on my large balcony a hot tub. It doesn't get much better than that! They pretty much think of everything, there is a stocked bar, expresso machine, all the toiletries, hairdryer and even a steamer for your clothes. Massive bathroom with his and hers sinks plus a wonderful shower and bathtub. Free Wi-Fi so you can download the hotel app to check out what's going on, so you don't miss out.
When I last came to Mexico only 10 years before, the food was very average with either a buffet or beach restaurant with plastic plates and no dress codes. My expectations were not too high. You can imagine my surprise of the quality with the restaurants on this trip!
The restaurants at Dreams are fab. No 'canteen' style buffet, far more stylish than this with a choice of a la carte restaurants that would keep the fussiest eater happy. Plus, casual dining with a grill (for burgers), pizza ovens and healthy options. Plus, there is the market cafe if you prefer buffet. This is a huge step up from where I stayed before. This hotel keeps everyone happy so is for families, couples, singles and groups of friends with sports facilities, spas and children’s clubs.
It has a great swim up pool bar which is heated located parallel to the white soft sandy beach great for a late afternoon cocktail.
