Sicily - Taormina

Next stop on our cruise was Sicily to the port of Messina Taormina is a beautiful holiday resort with very pretty cafes and shops Which has ruins of a greek roman theatre is about 30 minutes drive from Messina The cruise ship does a half day excursion where they take you in to the town and then leave you to your own devices. Once all the cruise passengers arrive in the town it can get quite crowded. It would be a nice place to come back to for a couple of days break in the future
