It's Nice To Meet You

Are you looking for a holiday? You've come to the right place!

My name is Tracey Mendy and I am an independent travel agent. My aim is to turn your travel dreams into reality. Whatever your choice, from a beach holiday to a cruise or maybe just a flight. I am here to offer you my extensive travel knowledge - over 27 years of experience! I also specialise in luxury long haul destinations and group travel.

I have always been a travel agent, it was my dream from leaving school. I have worked over the years with various independent agencies and from 2005 to 2012 I ran my own travel agency. Family commitments made it easier for me to work from home so I now can offer the exceptional personal service at hours to suit you.

My phone line is open from 8am to 11pm, 7 days a week! I can also give you my mobile number so if you really need to get in touch with me urgently – you can! No more booking your travel arrangements on the internet and then unable to get in touch with an actual person to ask a simple question or to make a change. I am the only person you will deal with from the initial enquiry right through to getting your documents – of course it does not end there as I also want to know how your trip went. I am happy to arrange appointments to see you locally. I am not just a voice on the other end of a phone line - I understand the need people have to know who they are dealing with, especially over the internet.

Travel is my passion and I am fortunate to have travelled extensively. In November 2014 I was on a tour of China and in May 2013 I was riding on the back of an elephant in Sri Lanka! To list a few destinations, I have been to Africa, Sri Lanka, The Maldives, Dubai, Mauritius, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Russia, Norway, Iceland, USA, Cuba, Bermuda, Portugal, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Turkey, Canaries, Balearics, Madeira, Malta.......the list goes on! If I have not been there, it's on my list of places to see and of course I have the latest award-winning technology at my fingertips to find out all about it and get you the best possible prices.

I look forward to hearing from you – your journey begins right here!

The beautiful island of Antigua

27 October 2016

On 29th of September I set off from London Gatwick to Antigua V.C. Bird International Airport. Here, we checked into Halcyon Cove by Rex Resorts for a two night stay. This is a 3* property and the food is good. The drinks are non-branded but taste great. There is a nice open reception area. The pool area leads directly onto a fantastic beach. There is a pier which is a wonderful Wari Restaurant where they also serve afternoon tea as well as dinner. The rooms are pretty basic but they are comfortable. Some rooms are undergoing refurbishment and look great. To sum up, it’s a great 3* property that I would highly recommend for families and couples on a budget. There is a Rexplayers kids club for children 5-8. Watersports include kayaking and snorkelling. The next day we went on a site inspection of Hawksbill by Rex Resorts. This hotel was recently refurbished and looks really good with a fantastic beach. I stayed there for lunch and we had a grill down by the beach which was not only the most amazing view, but the food was so good! This hotel does not really cater for children but does have rooms that will sleep two adults and five children! There is a small pool but most guests head to the beach - one of the beaches there is the island's only 'clothes optional' beach. We also had a site inspection of Sandals Grande Antigua. What can I say about this property apart from wow! There are so many room types to choose from and so many restaurants - you will never get bored. Simply stunning! The next day we checked into Blue Waters Resort, a deluxe 5* resort and one of the Caribbean's finest resorts. I stayed in Hillside Villa 3 which was simply stunning! There are three restaurants, three bars, a spa and beautiful gardens. The food is amazing and a fantastic ambience - very relaxed. Also on the trip I visited the Verandah Hotel. There is a very basic reception area so I was surprised when went into the most wonderful resort! It is fantastic for families with a lovely big pool area, great kids club and the rooms are lovely! Pineapple Beach is another fantastic resort with a stunning beach. The rooms are nice with a lovely aspect to the beach. The hotel had just reopened but work was still being carried out so I did not get to see it at its best. I spoke to guests who come back year after year and love it! St James Club is another wonderful resort on another fantastic beach location. There are many great facilities to offer for families and couples. Lovely pool area, tennis courts and we had lunch in a fantastic grill area up on top of a hill with a rustic feel to it and amazing views – wonderful. We took an evening excursion to Shirley Heights for evening drinks and a BBQ with calypso music on the steel drums and dancing. It is highly recommended and not to be missed! We also took a tropical adventure tour by jeep! We explored the island, visited the secluded Bird Island for snorkelling and sunbathing on the beach and we also went kayaking through the mangroves. Experienced guides explained the ecology of mangroves - reefs birds, dish, sea turtles and natural wildlife. We then flew back to London Gatwick and experienced the Club World lounge at Antigua which was very nice. We sipped champagne and had snacks before being called for our flight.
