Disneyland Paris - Newport Bay Club

I've actually lost count of the number of times I've been to Disneyland Paris but we still love it! OK, so it's really not Florida but for a quick fix of Disney, it's brilliant. We're lucky enough to live fairly close to a Eurostar station so getting there is pretty quick and arriving just at the park gates is ideal!

We stayed at the Newport Bay hotel this time which has recently been refurbished and we thoroughly enjoyed it. It's about a 10-15 minute walk (with a 3 and 6 year old) to the park entrances but we prefer this option to the shuttle bus and it takes you through Disney Village which adds a bit of distraction for the kids too.

My little girl (the 3 year old) has been before but it's the first time she's been old enough to properly appreciate it and the new Frozen show was a big hit with her, she loved singing along and thought the 'snow' was hilarious! My little boy (the 6 year old) is a big Lightening McQueen fan so despite having sat through 'Moteurs… Action! Stunt Show Spectacular' more than a dozen times already, this was a must for him and he still loves it, particularly the 'remote controlled' car!

We love the parades and always make time to see at least one, they bring a lovely atmosphere along with them and having the music adds to the experience. We are the ones who bag our space half an hour before it starts though to make it more enjoyable when it does arrive!

Something we do every time and I'd really recommend it, is having dinner at Café Mickey. I don't think it’s the best food available in the park but some of the characters come round to your table and you can have a photo with them and get the all-important autograph, the kids love it and it's certainly something we consider to be a 'must-do'.

One last thing to mention is 'It's a Small World', every adult pretends to hate it, the kids love it but one thing is for sure, you'll be singing that tune all day long for days after you've been on (and now maybe again too, after you've read about it)! I do like the fact that it takes a lot of people at a time so the queues are often much shorter than for other rides.

So, another successful short trip to Disney, to keep us going until the next big one to Florida!
