Iona is here!

I’ve been fortunate enough to attend many ship launches over the years....but the Iona naming ceremony was a first! I had a front row seat at the virtual launch of P&O Cruises Iona.

Accompanied by a good box and my own bottle of Britpop cider, I enjoyed the evening very much from the warmth of my lounge!

Iona will carry up to 5200 guests. She is the greenest member of the P&O Cruises fleet and the first British cruise ship to be powered by liquefied natural gas LNG. P&O Cruises newest and most innovative ship was designed to invite the outdoors in. Gazing out from the stunning SkyDome, three-tier glass Grand Atrium or the brand-new Conservatory Mini-suite cabins, you’re never far from a spectacular view of the ever-changing horizon.
