We’ve long loved Elegant Hotels’ beautiful resorts in Barbados, most of which are all-inclusive, so we’re thrilled to announced that this brilliant boutique group is getting even better with a whole array of exciting developments over the coming months, with even more taking place next year.
Commencing in September 2023, Elegant Hotels will undergo a transformation, along with the introduction of their new brands. Phase one includes room upgrades, restaurant enhancements, and public area transformations of Waves Hotel & Spa, Treasure Beach, and The House, scheduled to be completed in 2024. Starting mid-way through 2024, Colony Club and Tamarind will begin their complete renovation. Crystal Cove and Turtle Beach will be open for guests year-round as they are set to start their refurbishments in 2025.
Most Elegant Hotels are just a stone’s throw from one another or are linked by a complimentary water-taxi service. All are on the glamorous Platinum Coast, except Turtle Beach on the lively south coast. Meanwhile, the excellent Dine Around Program means you can stay at one and dine at the over 15 restaurants and bars shared between them.

Treasure Beach
This highly intimate, adults-only boutique hotel includes a complimentary chef’s dinner during your stay and a sundowner hour each evening. Some of the suites come with a private plunge pool.
Crystal Cove
This stylish property offers the twin treats of a unique swim-up bar beneath a waterfall, plus brilliant pool and beach service by delightful ambassadors. There’s the poolside Reflections restaurant with sea views, and the open-air Drifters Beach Bar and Restaurant for Bajan barbecues serving ribs, Bajan fish cakes, and jerk pork chops.
The House
This adults-only, all-suite boutique hotel stands out for its 24-hour butler service, complimentary jet-lag massages, and champagne breakfasts. You can dine as the mood takes you, in the elegant-but-laidback lobby lounge, on the oceanfront deck, in a private beach cabana, in your suite, or in the famous Italian restaurant and island institution that is Positano, just a short stroll away.
Tamarind
This all-inclusive island paradise has all-day beachfront dining in The 246 Deck, or South Beach-inspired Rilaks Deck & Bar, plus the chance to have dinner in the neighbouring celebrity-favourite, Positano. The friendly concierge will set you up with fantastic bespoke tours, including horse riding on the beach.
Turtle Beach
This all-suite resort with its kids’ club has direct access to a 0.5km white-sand beach, where you might be lucky enough to see sea turtles nesting their eggs. Dining venues include the open-air Chelonia, with its global cuisine, and the Asiagos Restaurant serving authentic Italian with its grown-up feel.
Waves Hotel & Spa
This is one of the first all-inclusive wellness-focused boutique hotels on the island. South Beach inspired, with a Zen-like atmosphere and driftwood accents, it includes a complimentary spa treatment per person with each stay. There’s also free yoga, Pilates and beach walks, plus an adult-only relaxation pool.
Colony Club
Set in seven acres of tropical gardens and the perfect choice for those who prefer a non all-inclusive holiday, Colony Club enjoys a contemporary and sophisticated style and oozes both Barbadian charm and luxurious amenities.
