Winter Escape

If I was to think of one of my dream holidays then the Maldives would spring to mind. Beautiful white sandy beaches, clear turquoise waters , water bungalows on stilts and an array of coral reefs to explore. A perfect place to unwind, relax and chill. Having been lucky enough to visit a few islands myself, I recently stayed at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi which is within the Noonu Atoll and can be reached by a 45 minute seaplane from Male international airport.

They offer a choice of meal plans to suit everyone, between Bed & Breakfast, Half Board, Full Board and All Inclusive. I opted for the All inclusive plan which I can say was one of the best All Inclusive plans I have experienced as you can dine in any of their A La Carte restaurants unlimited times under the plan. There are 6 bars on the island and 10 restaurants, ranging from Asian, Italian, Indian, French, ice cream parlour, Seafood grill so something to cater for all.

With regards to the accommodation on the island there is a choice of Overwater and beach villas plus exclusive VIP retreats.. many with jacuzzis and private pools. Iru Fushi is the perfect getaway for families due its activities and accommodation that includes two and three bedroom retreats. Each villa has its own dedicated butler whom is contactable 24/7, they are there to assist you with every need from making table reservations, booking trips, treatments in the spa and just generally everything you need.

If you are feeling active there is plenty to do for all from snorkelling and diving on the house reef, dolphin cruises, fishing and cultural outings.
