What's your travel wows
Regent Seven Seas Explorer. Named the most luxurious ship ever built. I've been very lucky to win a sailing on this ship and also a visit during CLIA conference: read both on my other journals The ship sure has the wow factor from the jaw dropping chandelier in the atrium to the cutlery and crockery I the restaurant every inch of the ship you turn a corner and say wow.
Renewal of vows in Las Vegas. As you will have maybe read, Las Vegas is a personal favourite of ours and we’ve been on many occasions. The first time will always be the best when we were blown away at the sheer size of the hotels. There are plenty of things to see and do there and of course taking a trip into the Grand Canyon, but the last trip had the wow factor as we renewed our wedding vows 20 years on in true Vegas style at a drive thru counter being serenaded by the one and only Elvis.
In 2015 we sailed with Azamara around Vietnam, from Hong Kong to Singapore with lots of fabulous moments, including a stay at the Shangri La in Singapore and having a Singapore Sling at Raffles. We ended the trip in Dubai with a 7-course afternoon tea at the Burj Al Arab, a truly one-off life experience.
Finally, one of my bucket list trips was in 2018 to South Africa, from Johannesburg to Cape Town on an escorted tour. A fabulous way to see so many corners of this stunning country and pinnacle for me on safari in Kruger National Park. To be so up close to these magnificent animals in their natural habitat was just sensational.
