Birthday Short Break to Rotterdam

Rotterdam 2 nights Had a lovely couple of Nights away with my Daughter I treated her for her 30 Birthday , as it was in the summer as she’s a teacher it can be costly so I looked at booking a Train from London so looking at the schedule I saw that you can get a Train from London to Rotterdam , so I booked a couple of nights in Hotel Mate Bruno , a clean comfortable 4 star hotel , we had 2 comfy beds and a good breakfast.

Very impressed with Rotterdam it really lends itself to a short break , very reasonably priced food , people are so friendly and there were water Taxis so we got on those and it was such fun they did move fast.

The other lovely thing we saw was the cruise ships coming in so When we were there we saw the Disney Dream come in Hannah had the idea of going across to the cruise terminal to watch the Sail away , pretty magical as we heard the Disney music , we both wanted to jump on board .

Rotterdam has quebed Houses , so quirky , there are lots of open spaces to sit and have drinks , plenty of shops , we also did a free walking Tour that I really would recommend and there is no catch , he was great fun and you just give him a tip at the end .Its a good way to explore the City , and get to chat to all different nationalities .

They have such a great transport system in Rotterdam , Trams , busses , Water Taxis , Trains , and very cheap , also the Dutch are so friendly and genuinely want to help if you get lost.

We had a lovely time and makes me want to explore Holland further
