I’m Alison and I am a Travel Counsellor based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. I have lived in Wilmslow for 30 years and have raised my son and daughter here.
I have spent 30 years working in media and wishing I was working in travel. Whether it be adventure, exploration or purely relaxation travel should be a joy and I want to help customers find that joy.
Having travelled extensively within Asia and Europe I know what makes a great travel experience and would love to share my knowledge to help build bespoke trips which will turn a travel dream into a reality.
Top of my to-do list is to visit the tiger reserves of India in the hope of seeing a tiger in its natural habitat – the wild!
With lots of options for flights, accommodation and added extras I can help you tailor build your ideal travel experience.

We’ve recently been on an adult only all-inclusive holiday to Crete. Alison was on hand throughout the booking process with personal recommendations and insights about various resorts. This is about the 4th trip that I have booked through Travel Councellors and I have to say that the service from Alison has been outstanding- no matter how many times I make changes to my 'brief' Alison takes it in her stride - nothing is too much trouble...
Also worth mentioning is that using Travel Cousellors to book my holidays costs me no more than if I were to source them myself - but saves me so much time and effort.
I highly recommend Alison and Travel Counsellors to other holiday makers and will definitely be recommending to my friends and family (some of whom already use her services) and will continue to book my holidays through Alison...

Alison arranged the perfect holiday to Rome for me and my stepmum, we had a specific airport and budget range in mind. Originally wanting to be city centre Alison advised us on a location outside of the main city called Piazza Bologna, a minute away from a metro stop. This ended up being our perfect location and would recommend to everyone going to Rome, the quietness in the evenings among friendly locals and cheaper food and drink prices was a bonus, coffee in the morning with a large filled croissant at the café adjacent to the hotel being only €2.80, for example. The metro runs late at night, is very easy to use as there are only two lines, and it takes little time at all to get into the city centre at all times of day whatever your plans are. A little letter waited for us at our hotel from Alison wishing us a great holiday and we had private transfers on arrival and departure that ran smoothly. We had the best time in the eternal city and would recommend Alison to everyone.

This trip to Toronto and New York was fantastic, we travelled as a family of four.
The travel counsellors app was very easy to use with all our documents in one place.
Alison was excellent, it took me a few months to get the trip booked and we requested a few different quotes, nothing was too much trouble and the quotes came back very quickly.
The trip was seamless and we received a lovely welcome note on our hotel arrival from Alison.
The airport transfers were excellent and always early, the itinerary was very easy to follow.
I would definitely book through Alison again and we have been telling all our family and friends about the ease of booking and the price was no more than booking with a high street travel agent but with a much more personal service.
This is our first experience of booking with an independent travel counsellor and definitely won't be our last.

I wanted to do something special for my husband's 50th birthday. He'd always wanted to go to Rome so I asked Alison to look at a 3 day trip which was also child friendly for our 11 year old daughter. We have just returned and the trip was brilliant. It included a pizza making evening and a Gladiator tour of the Colosseum, we had plenty of free time to walk around and take in other sights. The hotel was lovely and central enough to walk to each destination or catch the hop on hop off bus. The car to and from the airport was an added touch. Alison took away the headache of planning this trip and delivered the perfect family weekend break. Bravo!

Alison has been fabulous is organising my BIG birthday celebration holiday to Florida for me & the family in Summer 2024.
Nothing was too much trouble for her when I started to change dates due to school holidays and she managed to get the flights, accommodation, car hire, Kennedy Space Centre, Disney Passes and Universal Passes all within my budget.

Alison worked tirelessly to sort out my complicated holiday requirements and to cope with the variations that I kept making. She was cheerful and helpful at all times and I genuinely felt that she was devoted to giving me exactly what I wanted. And this is what she succeeded in doing.
I would encourage Alison occasionally to challenge some of her customers' choices and to propose alternatives. It took a few attempts to devise a less than exorbitant car hire package for example.

Just booked to go to my niece's wedding in Las Vegas followed by a few days in San Francisco later this year.

Many thanks to Alison for taking into consideration all our holiday requirements, identifying all the travel options and booking our holiday for us. Recently we have been struggling look through brochures, online or otherwise so when we did identify a good hotel and resort that was recommended to us, Alison booked the holiday including all our requirements such as access through the airport and on to the plane, seats etc and answered any queries we had on travelling.

The itinerary she put together was fantastic and she was in contact daily with us and the local agents to ensure the trip was seamless and very special .

After many discussions with various tour operators, when I was planning a special anniversary holiday to India, I was frustrated with the lack of proactive agents and the lacklustre tours that were suggested. I then spoke to Ali and asked her to quote. The level of service and tailored solutions were miles ahead of the other providers. Ali listened to what was important, was very responsive and flexible in her approach and put together an outstanding itinerary with wonderful hotels and tours and managed to come under the allocated budget also! I am delighted to have found a local travel expert who really cares about the customer and goes the extra mile to find great options that will make our holiday extra special.
