It's Nice To Meet You

Hi, Bonjour, Ola, Konnichiwa …. my name is Ana … thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

I grew up on the beautiful Portuguese island of Madeira, a lifetime away from the busy lifestyle I enjoy in Banstead, Surrey today. It was in Madeira that as a child, I first looked out across the Atlantic Ocean and dreamed of travel to vibrant cities, various cultures and the most beautiful of remote sandy beaches. I loved my home, but the desire to explore was too much and I took off travelling the world in my early twenties living, working and spending time in Australia, Thailand (Ko Samui) and other parts of the Far East and the remote Perhentian Islands. On later trips, I managed to cover Mauritius and parts of Africa. It was a truly wonderful time learning about people, culture and most of all…about myself!

It’s now a couple of decades later and along the way I have got settled and married to my husband Paul and now enjoy the journey of being a mum to my beautiful daughter. Fortunately, my family enjoy the joy of travelling as much as I do, so we have been lucky enough to have visited many parts of Europe, The Middle East and the United States. Florida continues to be a big favourite with all of us particularly the theme parks of Orlando and the surrounding areas.

Becoming a Travel Counsellor felt like a very natural step for me, it allows me to work around my daily schedule but most importantly work in an area that I love. Booking a holiday is an exciting time for all of us and should always be an enjoyable and fun experience. I take great pride in what I do, in listening to the needs and expectations of my clients and in being meticulous in getting both the big and little things just right for you. There is nothing better than a happy client coming back with excited tales on a great trip. I so look forward to hearing from you be it for a family holiday in the UK or abroad, a romantic honeymoon, a luxury cruise, beach holiday, ski trip or quick city break. I am here to make the whole experience a delight and help you create memories that will always bring a smile and last a lifetime.

Ana has now advised on and booked four holidays for me ranging from a weekend city break to a large family birthday in Portugal. From the initial enquiry, through discussions on wants, needs and budget I have found her friendly, professional and ,very importantly, uncomplicated. She has given freely of her time and we have had fantastic holidays without the stress of doing it all ourselves (and wondering if we got it right !) I can't imagine booking my own travel now. I just wanted to write you a note to say thank you so much for organising our trip to Havana and Varadero in wonderful, wild and crazy Cuba! We had the most amazing time! Havana was a blast, we knew we'd love it, but to have such excellent trips organised for us was the icing on the cake! The Vintage car tour, and Hemingway house trip were amazing. The guide was super knowledgeable, fun and full of advice for us, which was brilliant. Thank you for suggesting and booking dinner in La Guardia for us. I will never forget it. The food and cocktails were magnificent. And the building itself is one big photographic shoot! A gorgeous evening. We really didn't want to leave Havana... we loved it. So many characters we met along the way.... but we did! And had another perfect transfer to Varadero. The Royalton was such a beautiful and special place. The food was excellent. We beached it every day - the white sand and warm sea... we really are totally spoiled now... (and having them bring drinks to you! Bliss!). Mercedes the rep was excellent. We enjoyed talking to her and booked a boat trip, which was fun. Again, another person, who looked after us perfectly. All in all, it was the best holiday we've had in a long time. So many amazing memories (and a fabulous tan!). I think we're still processing everything! I really do think that the service you put together, advice and your contacts made all the difference. We felt so looked after, and safe. Every step of the way. Thank you so much Ana for the thought and care put in! It was a truly memorable trip of a lifetime.

Ana was just wonderful at finding us a last minute holiday this summer. After a lucky escape with a scammer on air b&b she jumped in and saved the day. Not only that but a couple of small issue when we were away we dealt with very efficiently so no stress!! Will definitely be using here again. She goes to Amazon lengths to provide as much information as possible and you can tell she is passionate about her work. Thank you Ana.

Ana really did think of everything when it came to booking our trip and took all of the stress out of organising a family holiday. From the flights (with priority security), to the transfer, to the hotel - every detail was pre-empted and catered for. We just had to sit back and enjoy the trip. It’s the first time we have used your service and we are blown away. We had a rough idea of dates and costs for our trip which we passed to Ana who was really helpful. She advised us on flights, days and times to minimise cost and suggested a couple of choices of hotel. She automatically included airport transfers, car hire and other really handy things that we would have forgotten. The overall price came out lower than we were expecting, a very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend Ana and her service which we will definitely use again. A completely painless experience backed up by a fantastic app for our itinerary.

Ana arranged a family holiday to Venice for us; she could not have been more helpful and enthusiastic. The service from her and Travel Counsellors was first class, particularly given the remaining travel requirements due to the pandemic which are more complicated for travel in & out of Italy, and she made it all hassle free for us even booking all of our trips & entry tickets (skip the line thank goodness - you should have seen the length of the lines!!) and preparing our Passenger Locator Forms and booking our airline seats in advance. A wonderful holiday made stress free by the wonderful Ana - thank you.

Ana has been incredibly attentive, while booking my holiday. We wanted to make some changes to our booking, and Ana was very helpful and patient with us, giving us various excellent ideas for our holiday. We are now very excited to be going away in July, and Ana took away all of the hassle of the booking. She's a real star!

Ana is truly dedicated to her business and her clients come first. Ana will get the best possible package for you and nothing is too much trouble for her. With a Covid cancellation I was refunded immediately for a hotel booking. Highly recommend, I wouldn’t arrange travel with anyone else.

I first made contact with Ana about a year ago when Ana was able to give extremely helpful advice regarding an existing booking I had make directly without help from Travel Counsellors, and Ana helped me to organise a holiday an alternative future holiday re-using the flights that couldn't be cancelled. Since then Ana has helped me with a handful of requirements. She is so knowledgeable and literally cannot help enough with all aspects and every little detail. I really is lovely to work with someone so caring and thoughtful, and enthusiastic about my trips as I am! I would have absolutely no doubt in recommending Ana, and i'm extremely pleased I found her!
