Extra Easter Break

For a family or group of friends, accommodation on a holiday park can offer really good value for money. The Isle of Wight has several holiday parks and as an extra break over Easter, it was perfect for our family of 4.

There is a range of accommodation on each park, often from lead-in standard category up to the newest modern designer styled unit which makes it hard to imagine you are in static accommodation.

Our mobile home had heating and an electric fire, a fully equipped kitchen, and a shower room. The living/dining area could be converted to additional bedding although there was already a double and twin room so this wasn’t put to use overnight. Although compact, it is well thought out with useful storage.

The clubhouse with evening entertainment, bar and café were open daily although we only went on one occasion. However, the on site shop was well stocked and was visited regularly as was the indoor swimming pool. Many of the parks have facilities such as these although it is worth checking on the seasonal opening times. I would recommend this type of accommodation as a great way to have a short break or a holiday on a budget. With so many locations nationwide, it provides the opportunity to explore the local area and also have useful facilities on your doorstep.
