It's Nice To Meet You
Hello, My name is Becky and I love to travel. First, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting my page. I have always had a passion for travel and I am so excited to now be able to travel and help others to travel as a job.
Here's a little bit more about me. I live in the North West with my husband and daughter and we love to travel together. We also have a son but he is too old to travel with the parental units anymore.
I have been lucky enough to travel to various destinations but my absolute favourite place to visit so far is Malta. I had never been to Malta before 2017 and when I was looking for a wedding venue abroad, Malta was suggested to me. As soon as we visited I fell in love and Malta became our wedding destination in 2018 and it was perfect. I think we have been back every year since ( when possible ) and we still find new places to visit and explore each time we are there. I cant wait to add many more countries and experiences to my list - all as part of my job.
As an independent Travel consultant, I am committed to helping you find your dream holiday whether its a tailor made itinerary or a weekend break. Whatever you are looking for please give me a call and I will take all the stress away for you. Your time is precious so I will do the hard work for you.
I am available at times to suit you, so please get in touch so I can create your perfect trip.
I look forward to hearing from you soon

Popeye Village, Malta: A Quirky Seaside Gem Worth Visiting - Tucked away in the stunning Anchor Bay on Malta’s northern coast, Popeye Village is a colourful, nostalgic attraction that started as a film set and has since transformed into one of Malta’s most charming tourist spots. Whether you’re a fan of the 1980s Popeye movie, a lover of unique destinations, or just looking for a fun day out with the family, this quirky village is well worth a visit. We really enjoyed our trip to Popeye village and would definitely return, ensuring we got there early to take full advantage of the activities in the water. We did however make full use of the 2 outdoor pools situated near the entrance to cool down and play a little crazy golf. A Hollywood Film Set Turned Tourist Attraction - Popeye Village was originally built as the set for the 1980 live-action Popeye movie, starring Robin Williams as the iconic spinach-loving sailor. Constructed in 1979 by Paramount Pictures and Walt Disney Productions, the village was designed to resemble the classic cartoon’s seaside town of Sweet haven. After filming wrapped, the village was left standing, and rather than being demolished, it was transformed into an open-air museum and entertainment park. Today, Popeye Village remains a vibrant piece of cinematic history, drawing visitors from around the world who want to explore its rustic wooden buildings, take in the stunning sea views, and immerse themselves in the world of Popeye and Olive Oyl. What to Expect at Popeye Village - While Popeye Village is best known as a former film set, it offers plenty of activities and experiences for visitors of all ages: 1. Explore the Rustic Film Set - Walking through Popeye Village feels like stepping into a cartoon. The colourful, weathered buildings—some leaning at unusual angles to match the exaggerated animation style—are still standing as they were in the movie. Visitors can wander through the old post office, bakery, and Popeye’s house while enjoying behind-the-scenes exhibits and props from the film. 2. Meet the Characters - No visit to Popeye Village would be complete without meeting the legendary characters! Performers dressed as Popeye, Olive Oyl, Bluto, and other favourites roam the village, putting on lively performances, interactive shows, and even mini-musicals throughout the day. 3. Try Your Hand at Filmmaking - One of the most unique experiences here is the chance to star in your own short film. Guests can dress up in costumes, act in a mini-scene, and take home a recording of their performance—perfect for families and groups looking for a fun souvenir. 4. Enjoy the Stunning Coastal Views - Even if you’re not a Popeye fan, the location alone is worth the trip. Anchor Bay’s crystal-clear waters, dramatic cliffs, and rugged Maltese coastline create a breath taking backdrop. The village’s wooden jetty and surrounding rock formations make for stunning photos. 5. Splash and Relax in Summer - During the warmer months, Popeye Village offers access to a small beach area, sunbathing decks, and a floating water park. - Get there early to take advantage of the sunbeds right next to the entertainment area and inflatables. These spots go quickly, so arriving early ensures the best seats for relaxing while enjoying the lively atmosphere. - If you plan to enter the sea, make sure to bring suitable footwear, as the seabed is rocky underfoot. - If you prefer pools over the sea, there are two outdoor pools and a kids' play pool available. However, these are not near the main entertainment area, so you’ll need to decide which suits you best. 6. Outdoor Games and Activities - For those looking for extra entertainment, Popeye Village also offers a variety of outdoor games, including mini golf and a mini assault course—great for both kids and adults looking to burn off some energy. 7. Festive Events and Seasonal Attractions - Depending on the time of year, Popeye Village hosts themed events for Christmas, Halloween, and Carnival, making it a magical place to visit no matter the season. 8. How Much Does It Cost? Entry prices to Popeye Village are as follows: Adults & Teens (13+) – Approximately €18 Children (3-12 years) – Approximately €14 Pensioners – Approximately €14 Prices may vary depending on the season, so it’s always worth checking the official website before visiting. Important Accessibility Information Popeye Village is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The site is very hilly, with steep slopes and no lifts, making it difficult for those with limited mobility or who require wheelchairs. Visitors should be prepared for a lot of walking on uneven terrain.
