Hi, I’m Cara - your personal Travel Counsellor based in Nelson, Lancashire.

My role is simple: to take away the stress (and hours!) of trawling the internet or queuing at the travel agents. Instead, I’ll create a holiday designed just for you, with the kind of personalised service you won’t find on the High Street. With me, you’ll always be in safe hands.

I’m what’s known in Thailand as a Luk Krueng (half Thai). Growing up in a working-class town in England, in the mid-80s, my background was often seen as a little unusual. But for me, hopping on a plane to my mother’s wooden stilt family home deep in the Thai jungle was simply part of childhood. Those early adventures gave me a passion for travel that’s been with me ever since.

That passion goes beyond my own suitcase - I love creating experiences for my clients that are so vivid, I can picture myself there with you. (Don’t worry, I promise I won’t sneak onto your flight or turn up at your hotel pool with a lilo in hand!) But I will be here if you need anything while you’re away, and I’ll be excited to hear all about your highlights when you return.

Since my first trip to Thailand in 1987 (which even made the local headlines!), I’ve been back more than 30 times, and even spent four years teaching English there. My travels have taken me across Asia and beyond - from venturing up Mount Fuji in Japan, to exploring the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor in Cambodia, to discovering the beautiful islands of the Philippines.

Other unforgettable memories include sleeping under the stars in the Dubai desert, cruising through Alaska (with a close-up grizzly bear encounter!), road-tripping across the Canadian Rockies, snowmobiling along the glaciers in Iceland, and gazing at the Milky Way under the South African sky during our safari game drive. Each one has given me memories I’ll never forget.

Along the way, I’ve gained first-hand experience with airlines like Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, and Emirates - across both Economy and Business Class. I’ve also stayed in some incredible hotels, including the world-famous 7-star Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

And because I know life doesn’t just happen between 9–5, I’m available evenings and weekends too. Whether by email or phone, we can chat however feels most comfortable for you.
