Hi, my name is Claire Baker and I am a Travel Counsellor based near Tamworth, in the West Midlands. I have lived and worked near to Tamworth my whole life, and even though my work has taken me to some amazing places, it will always be where I call ‘Home’. I live in a small village called Kingsbury with my husband, 2 young daughters and our little dog called Bonnie.

Before becoming a Travel Counsellor in 2019, I worked for Thomas Cook as a Travel Agent for 11 years. My career helped me to nurture and develop my passion for customer service and I have gained an amazing amount of travel knowledge.

When my career as a travel agent ended, I was offered the incredible opportunity to join Travel Counsellors, which meant that I could still pursue a career in the industry I loved, but also be able to enhance a personal customer service experience that had always been limited in my previous line of work.

I love all types of travel, from the traditional family holidays, cruises, faraway trips, honeymoon’s to UK breaks. However, there are a few destinations that have a special place in my heart, such as Thailand, Australia, Sri Lanka and the USA.

Being a Travel Counsellor has meant that I can use my years of travel experience, whilst being able to give a customer service experience like no other I’ve known in the industry. I can be on hand for you whenever you need me, and by building an amazing client experience, I can take away all the stress, worry or uncertainty that booking a holiday can bring.
