We also went to Blue Mountains by train on Christmas day which was really cheap! The receptionist gave us a tip that on Sundays you can travel anywhere in the Sydney area for $2.50 all day unlimited travel by train or bus. This tip saved us a lot of money as we were going to book a tour.

The Blue Mountain area was busy as was expected. The scenery was amazing even on the journey getting there. We are so pleased we went there as we have always wanted to go every time we’ve been to Australia. We went to some beach destinations too, including Watson Bay and Manly, both nice places to see whilst in Sydney.

Christmas in Australia seemed strange to us, as it was a hot sunny day, not like the UK cold weather days. We were so pleased that we extended our stay, to experience more of Sydney and to spend Christmas day as that has been one of our dreams. We both love Australia and would love to explore more of this amazing country.

Sadly, we had to go home on Boxing day. We flew home in premium economy with Cathay Pacific via Hong Kong. Jen at Cathay Pacific kindly arranged lounge access for us to experience at Hong Kong, which was a nice touch to the end of our trip. The lounge was lovely and spacious, and we would like to thank her for arranging the lounges at Hong Kong and Heathrow, as this has given me a great experience to pass onto my future customers.

We think cruising is a great way to see so many places and great value for money for what is included.
